tsatske -> Who do you not answer? (3/23/2012 3:52:43 AM)

In the past, living a 24/7 as an owned slave, in more than one Master's house, it has generally been my rule to answer all mail sent to me, and to bother Master to take up the cause of defending me only as a last resort before blocking someone - It seldom got to that point.

Now I am an unowned slave who is unsure rather I want a relationship again or not. I'm pretty happy with where I am. I rejoined because I missed the forums. There is no way I would end up owned by someone who's primary focus was play and sexual, before getting to know me. That said, - what are the kinds of letters that you just don't answer at all? Do you answer once to explain why this form isn't probably going to get them laid? I can't see blocking someone unless they are a recurring nuscence, but who, if anyone, do you just not bother to answer?

heartfeltsub -> RE: Who do you not answer? (3/23/2012 5:41:27 AM)

I personally don't bother to answer someone who is 20 or more years my junior and only says hello or nice jugs or something like that. I also don't bother to answer someone who lives in another country (unless it is Knight of Mists) because there is too much distance.

angelikaJ -> RE: Who do you not answer? (3/23/2012 5:53:49 AM)

When I first joined CM in 2007, I answered everybody.
Even likely scammers from Ghana.

It really was my first time on the internet dating scene (before you ask) and honestly being scammed, well I was naive to that.
I just figured if people took the time to write to me then they deserved a response.

It took me quite awhile to realise that many messages were probably cut and paste.

Too, in part, because I was so new, I did not have any idea of what I wanted.

I am owned now and my profile is hidden.
Were this relationship to end I can't see myself looking again, but I would not engage with everyone.
So, who would I exclude?
Probably nearly anyone whose emails don't ring true.
People who tried to establish early familiarity.
People who claimed they knew me or what I wanted.
People whose BS was pretty obvious.

LaTigresse -> RE: Who do you not answer? (3/23/2012 7:24:13 AM)

If a person is clearly trolling I delete and ignore.

If an email has nothing at all to reply to........I read and move on.

slaveluci -> RE: Who do you not answer? (3/23/2012 7:49:56 AM)

If they just say a few words or one statement like "nice profile" or "wanna chat" I delete and don't answer. If they obviously haven't read my profile and think I'm a domme or think I'm looking for a master, etc, I delete and don't answer. Just basically when it's obvious they aren't trying to connect with ME but just sending out tons of short mails as a way to fish until they get a bite. Otherwise, I generally always reply even if it's only with a short, polite thanks for reading......luci

IrishMist -> RE: Who do you not answer? (3/23/2012 8:39:38 AM)

When I joined back in '05, my only purpose for being here was the message boards. My profile has always had the same phrase in it 'just here for the message boards'. It did not stop many from writing and telling me that I should leave if that was my only purpose for being here [:)] And it did not stop some from writing in an attempt to engage me in some way.

I used to answer these people, but learned early on that the only answer they were looking for was to 'fall at their feet in excitement over the fact that they had contacted me'. Most did not take kindly to my rejection of their clumsy attempts.

Now, I almost never go to the other side. Since my interest does not lie in meeting someone...relationship wise that is...I just stay on this side.

If you are not ready for a relationship yet, put that in your profile and ignore any who attempt to 'change your mind'. If you are only here to read the forums, put that in there too. If you don't want to answer someone who writes you, then don't.

The choice is really yours and no one else's business at this time.

kalikshama -> RE: Who do you not answer? (3/23/2012 9:21:46 AM)

Do you answer all the junk mail that arrives in your snail mail box?

My profile said local guys only, etc, etc. I never bothered to answer the one liners from out of towners, etc, etc.

ProlificNeeds -> RE: Who do you not answer? (3/23/2012 9:34:01 AM)

FR~
I usually don't answer anyone unless they happen to spark my interest in the moment. Not because they did anything wrong... simply because, I don't feel like it.

lizi -> RE: Who do you not answer? (3/23/2012 11:51:35 AM)

I used to answer everyone. Now if I were looking again I'd not answer the one word/one line emails because I really feel there isn't any point. Even more disappointing to me are the obvious cut and past novels, those repulse me and I'd never answer them while I might in a blue moon answer someone asking me how I am doing as a one-liner. I'd not answer those who were rude or sexual.

JeffBC -> RE: Who do you not answer? (3/23/2012 12:10:15 PM)

I answer the ones that seem interesting and relevant to me. I ignore the rest.

You are not obligated to respond to an unsolicited internet email any more than you're obligated to respond to junk mail the advertisers stuff your mailbox full of. So unless it grabs your attention for some reason, why is it getting more than 3 seconds to delete it?

DesFIP -> RE: Who do you not answer? (3/23/2012 2:13:59 PM)

I mostly only answer people who I know from the forums. Occasionally I get irritated at the totally rude emails and I write them back using my best mom tone telling them how rude they are. I ask them how they would feel if their mother told them she had gotten an email to her saying what he had said to me. I then advise them pointedly to tell their mother what the exact email he sent me said, and beg her for a refresher course in manners which they desperately need.

I have to say, that I've gotten nasty responses to polite rejections but I have never gotten any kind of a response to this.

If you were my slave, I'd say to you that you treat others, esp strangers, with the same respect and sincerity that they treat you.

With mail, I'd say the defining word would be "sincerity". Forget all the "Dom" or "Master" bizzo that strangers are presenting themselves as and look at what they've written to you. ie, is it a sincere and respectful personal note or a generic troll. Are they addressing you, the person, or you, female fuck meat etc?

Once you determine that, you don't waste your time on rude or indifferent arseholes. One thing I won't have of my girl is for her to be slave to her keyboard. Women get too much mail on these sites - you ignore/punt the wankers and your mail reduces about 90%....

Focus.

littlewonder -> RE: Who do you not answer? (3/23/2012 3:08:43 PM)

I rarely answer emails unless they tell me that all they want is to chat platonically. The moment they start telling me about their sexual lives, I simply stop responding so I'd say I don't respond to 99.9% of emails. I just delete their emails.

I dont answer 99% of my mail. In the past it was because my heart was wrapped around someone else. If I did - it was to troll them to see what level of douchery they were going to stoop to.

Now - If I do answer, and they dont make themselves clear, I flat out ask them: what do they want? I dont normally answer people from other countries. Unless they are some multi-millionaire, they dont have enough money to buy me out of my current life. Meaning - Im not setting aside the time, money or energy to put into an international relationship. Without a lot of time and money, a r/l hook up isnt gonna happen. (not talking Canada here guys).

I also am turned off by people that have Sir / Master / or 69 in their profile names. But thats just me - Im not that deep into it and thats just my personal preference. I also wont answer to people whos profile names have anything about their cock in it or indicate that they are just looking for a piece of puss. Also turned off by the misogynists - but a lot of times you can screen these guys out just by reading their profile.

Also get real sick of the same people that Ive already told fucking up-teen billion times that Im not interested. Yet, they keep coming back for more. My favorite reply to these types is to ask them if they have some kind of brain-injury, because they dont seem to have any awareness of whom they are contacting. Or for that matter, what the fuck is going on period.

LoreBook -> RE: Who do you not answer? (3/23/2012 4:11:34 PM)

There's a number of criteria I use. First off, I hover over the message to get a quick view before I open it. If I see any of the following the message will, depending on my mood, either get deleted without even being opened, or a bitchy reply and then deleted.

- Calling me "Goddess"
- Calling me "Mistress"
- Telling me I'm beautiful with nothing else
- Discussing their particular kink or fantasy without having been asked
- Disputing my expressed desires
- Too much text speak
- Writing back to argue with me over my decision regarding their suitability
- Anything along the lines of "I know my profile says dominant, but..."
- Asking for my Yahoo
- Non-forum users complaining about something I posted on here.
- Telling me what I want
- Ordering me to do something
- Complaining that I haven't read or responded to their previous message
- Just generally being annoying or rubbing me the wrong way.

Basically, I only answer people I want to talk to. I think if you're not genuinely interested in getting to know someone more, then it's best not to send the perfunctory "thanks for writing" emails. Those just tend to upset people. On this site, people expect most of their emails to go unanswered, and I think for a lot of people the "thanks but no thanks" emails are more stinging than a non-response.

ShaharThorne -> RE: Who do you not answer? (3/23/2012 7:15:52 PM)

Those who use computer slang. PLEASE!!!! I am a mature woman who wants a real conversation, not a one liner about my breasts, how fat I am and calling me "Miss" without asking for permission. I am a switch, dadgumit...

ShibsStories -> RE: Who do you not answer? (3/23/2012 8:49:30 PM)

I scroll over all my messages and delete out of hand anything not related to forums, my stories, or a previous conversation.
When I am single I respond to many more but still delete out of hand -

-Txt spk
-Anything with a creepy picture, or the guys dick(had a lovely argument once with a guy claiming it didn't count as exposing himself since he had a girls mouth covering it)
-Sometimes will delete messages from male profiles with nothing but female pictures
-One liners... unless they are funny
-Any sexual approach
-Any message that shows the person takes life and BDSM way to seriously
-Any message demanding I do anything
-Where the person refers to me as slut/slave/cunt/princess/baby/any of that crap
-The "are you prepared..." messages
-Messages that consist of a sex story they wrote ( I get these a lot- people seem to think since I write stories, I will be so impressed that they write too that I MUST be theirs- but after reading a few very disturbed ones that involved all the worst taboos, I don't bother to touch unsolicited stories anymore)
-"Will you be my mommy?" "Would you like to be a cow, and produce milk?" "I turn my subs into upscale call girls who make 10,000/wk. Let's talk."
-Any message that ends with "Let's talk"
The list goes on and on...

Those would be the ones that irritate me the most.

VioletViolence -> RE: Who do you not answer? (3/24/2012 7:02:43 PM)

I respond to too many....it's a bad habit the man is trying to break me of. It's a combination of trying to "be polite" and this weird curiosity as to why. the. fuck. the person doesn't seem to have two brain cells to rub together so that they can read and comprehend my profile. But these days I delete pretty much everything without responding, unless the person is local and I feel I can help push them in the right direction when it comes to getting out into the community.
