Ann Coulter Says It`s Time For The Right Wing To Target President Obama`s Children

Desperation and hate. Only these two emotions could cause the right-wing to begin targeting the children of President Barack Obama. But that’s exactly what conservative banshee Ann Coulter wants to do. During an appearance with Sean Hannity on Fox News on Wednesday night, Coulter called on her rabid conservative followers to start targeting Sasha and Malia Obama because according to her, liberals attack the children of conservative candidates.

After Hannity once again tried to harangue liberals for attacking Rush Limbaugh for calling Sandra Fluke a “slut” during his radio show, Coulter launched into her own tirade and then turned into an entirely different and dangerous direction, bringing up David Letterman’s joke about Bristol Palin in 2009.

COULTER: “Coming from people who are constantly telling us about their abortions and their vaginas, no, I find it very hard to believe that they’re so upset about any word Rush Limbaugh uses. I don’t really care what words people use. I don’t care about dirty jokes, sexist jokes, racist jokes etcetera, etcetera. All I care about is that they be funny. And I would like to hold a little seminar for certain individuals like David Letterman’s writers to explain what is funny and what isn’t.”

That 'Target Obama's Children' bit is a whole new level of fringe lunatic evil - it doesn't take a genius to see where that could lead with some of Coulter's followers. Freedom of speech is all warm and fuzzy, but 'Kill the N*****" can't be acceptable discourse in any sane society. It's time for the Secret Service to visit Coulter and 'explain what's funny and what's not'.

While I don't agree with the Republicans being in a hurry to jump into a wrestling match with a pig, I think the point is well-taken that "liberal" media folks certainly haven't minded shelving their decorum, in the past.

Jokes about Gov. Palin's daughter were certainly heard, four years ago and nothing was said about it on the left.

I understand the frustration but I don't agree with the choice of direction some wish to take.

The president's daughters aren't even quite teens, yet (maybe one is)? Why would Republicans want to act as crassly and as inhumanely as thier "worthy" opponents? The logic doesn't follow. Someone needs to be above the fray because ... the pig(s) will enjoy it.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

LETTERMAN: You remember that Sarah, one of the deals was one of her children, daughters, a very young girl, was pregnant and was going to get married to the young man that knocked her up.

(LAUGHTER)

And her name was Bristol, the young girl's name was Bristol, and the kid's name was Levi Johnston. You remember these kids?

Well, they have broken up. Yes. So if you were going to send them a gift ...

PPLs, always being minimalistic when someone points out that their shit stinks, too.

Peace and comfort,

Her viewership must be dropping. She has to say something absolutely stupid just to get mentioned.

Maybe if she'd put some meat on those bones, more people would pay attention to her.

Well, until she opened her mouth and started spouting stupidity.

<fr>

Poor Ann seems a little more out there each time I hear about her (which, mercifully, is not often).

She also seems to be forgetting that there were Chelsea Clinton jokes. And Amy Carter jokes. And Susan Ford jokes. And . . .

I'm not saying multiple wrongs make a right, just that I wish we'd all stop pretending to be shocked, shocked about this stuff.

ETA: And then we could move on to more important stuff, like the total boneheadedness of the Verizon website and the need for its designers and programmers to die horribly.

While I agree that she's a little "out there", it may help to remember that she was named in one of the baseless, scurrilous attack from a lefty "journalist". She may be a bit reactionary on this subject.

Peace and comfort,

That`s like feeling sorry for a multiple rapist after being exonerated for theft.

Cons`s got some strange assed logic......

ShibsStories -> RE: The GOP`s "Plan B"........ (3/23/2012 7:52:02 PM)

I agree that neither side should be attacking anyone's children.
That's just a whole new level of wrong- though in the past few months the level of wrong we've been seeing in politics just keeps going up and up- til things we were horrified by a few years ago seem tame and normal now.

I agree with your first sentence heartily.

I'm not sure how new this behavior is, though.

Ma, Ma, where's my Pa?
Gone to the White House, ha ha ha!

DarkSteven -> RE: The GOP`s "Plan B"........ (3/23/2012 8:48:36 PM)

Huge difference between attacking children based on their actions (Bristol Palin having an out of wedlock child, Jenna and Barbara Bush getting shitface drunk) and Limbaugh saying how ugly Chelsea Clinton was. Not to mention that the nastiest attacks on McCain's daughter (that she was illegitimate) came from the Bush campaign.

erieangel -> RE: The GOP`s "Plan B"........ (3/23/2012 9:21:57 PM)

Joking about anybody in the First Family is a time-honored tradition (in that I don't think its ever NOT been done). I remember the jokes about Amy Carter because her father insisted she attend public school. Most of the jokes I remember were about the number of secret servants needed at an inner city DC school in the 70s to protect the First Daughter. While those jokes as well as the ones about Bristol Palin, the Bush girls, Chelsea Clinton and others are in bad taste, IMO, jokes are far and away quite different than attacking.

It is nice to know the right wing nuts feel no compunction about bullying children. No wonder kids think it is ok to bully those they don't like, they see adults do it all the time.

xssve -> RE: The GOP`s "Plan B"........ (3/23/2012 11:08:50 PM)

Puh-leeze, even the right calls her an attack dog.

I don't even have to catalog her vicious slander, she has never acted like anything but a rabid guttersnipe, any random clip will do, she's a fucking cartoon - a hate sick bitch, desperate for attention, who will clearly stoop to anything for a buck.

And she's about as funny as fucking cancer. In fact I think there is something seriously psychological going on on the right, considering the things you people call humor, something ain't right.

farglebargle -> RE: The GOP`s "Plan B"........ (3/23/2012 11:11:00 PM)

I honestly thought she died a while back. I mean, she dropped out of sight so fast, I figured she got in a car accident, died, and left a bunch of book publishers holding worthless contracts, since they're never going to see a book, and there's no way to get the advance royalties back from the estate and they just remaindered anything even remotely worthwhile and pulped everything else.

Hillwilliam -> RE: The GOP`s "Plan B"........ (3/24/2012 6:34:02 AM)

I wonder what Limbaugh would have said about Bristol Palin if her parents had been Democrats.

He called a woman who wanted birth control a "Slut" and a "prostitute".

What would he call a girl who gets pregnant in a tent?
