Well, here we go... Nevermind that Zimmerman is headed for a Grand Jury and the Justice Department is watching the case, Jesse Jackson smells publicity and steps in to ratchet up the crowd by declaring that "Blacks are under Attack," and not to be outdone when it comes to grabbing some press and making things worse, the New Black Panther Party has issued a "Wanted: Dead or Alive" poster.

All in good fun, of course.

If we could focus on the things that unite us instead of the things that divide us, the scumbags in Washington D.C. would not be able to give us the thorough rogering we've been getting for years.

There will always be publicity hounds that will jump on any opportunity to advance their agenda, at the cost of our own society.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

The sad thing is that under Florida law, since Zimmerman was an unknown attacker running at him, he would have been fully, LEGALLY justified in killing Zimmerman in self-defense.

How close do you let the 250 pound crazy guy chasing you around babbling incoherently get until you consider him a threat?

Owner59 -> RE: Wanted: Dead or Alive (3/23/2012 8:26:33 PM)

Is that any dumber than saying a hoodie caused this tragedy?

Edwynn -> RE: Wanted: Dead or Alive (3/23/2012 8:31:49 PM)

All in bad fun, you mean.

Jackson and Sharpton are the worst things that could ever beset this situation, but their imposition is no less avoidable than is others' pointing to that particular obvious intrusion in service to yet more of their clowning in furtherance of meanspiritedness.

Doesn't work, not on any level.

No. It's not dumber. It's potentially more dangerous.

Peace and comfort,

SYG grants a lot of credence to whoever survives the shootout.

Not when the established facts invalidate the SYG protections ( as does 776.041 )

Since Zimmerman was neither running, nor chasing, that's hard to answer.

xssve -> RE: Wanted: Dead or Alive (3/23/2012 10:40:09 PM)

You know, if they hadn't tried to play it off like, same shit, different day, it would never have gone this far.

Your crystal ball tell you that, because on the 9-1-1 tape he's running so hard he needs to hang up the phone.

Please post your auditory forensic analyst credentials. I'd love to see them.

farglebargle -> RE: Wanted: Dead or Alive (3/23/2012 11:01:03 PM)

I'm fat. I know how fat sounds when the thigh slap together. That said, I have about... Oh... 30 years of audio engineering background. But mostly. I knows fat when I hears it.

farglebargle -> RE: Wanted: Dead or Alive (3/23/2012 11:03:22 PM)

Let's do this math. 6'3" tall 140 pound kid. Walking briskly.

5'9" 250 pound murderer trying to follow him. He *can't* keep pace without getting winded. Why is this guy following me?

DarqueMirror -> RE: Wanted: Dead or Alive (3/23/2012 11:04:29 PM)

So....those credentials....forthcoming or no?

MrBukani -> RE: Wanted: Dead or Alive (3/24/2012 2:30:12 AM)

It seems you yankees just love the word war so much it is in your daily vocabulary.

The war on drugs
the war against women
now its a war against blacks

I am waiting for the gay war to start, in the original context of the word gay, that would be a fun war.[:D]
A war where the ammo is LUBE.

So what you're saying is....no credentials. And that you weren't there? Shocking.

Like you have ANY evidence to back up ANYTHING you said that wasn't previously known on the other thread?

I know from experience that taller people tend to cover more ground than shorter people. If Mr. Martin was already a decent distance away, and could easily slip behind a house or two (they are quite close together). That seems to be the fear Mr. Zimmerman had, that the kid, thanks to his larger walking stride, would slip behind a building and do something.....evil (there's the motivation to run). Therefore, he was running to catch up! He was actively PURSUING Mr. Martin (I'm saying that just for your benefit). How else could they have gotten in a fist fight, or Mr. Martin be shot at point blank range if Mr. Zimmerman DIDN'T run?

You could even do a scientific experiment in medicine, DM. Ask two people that are within 4 inchs of each other in height. Ask them to walk around a track and see if the shorter one goes faster around than the taller one. Your going to find that taller people, when walking their normal speed can cover more distance than shorter people in the same amount of time. If you were to walk next to me, for example, you would be taking three to four steps for every one of my strides.

farglebargle -> RE: Wanted: Dead or Alive (3/24/2012 6:35:20 AM)

You don't need to BE THERE to use the AVAILABLE FACTS to make a determination of what a **reasonable and prudent person** would do in the same situation.

Which is, of course, the standard our entire legal system is predicated on.

And no reasonable and prudent person would, after calling 9-1-1 and knowing the SPD were responding, and thinking that Martin *could be dangerous* (evidence: Zimmerman's claims on his 9-1-1 call ), would exit their place of safety to chase after and interrogate a complete stranger going about his lawful business.
