i think theres two kinda of submissive writtings, things that have happened and things they want to happen, and both can be very useful. but the downside is unless the sub is good at it somethimes they intertwine into one story.

i dont get to see my Daddy everyday but i write to him , either a story of truth from my past or present, or a what i wish for story. once a week we switch books and i know he reads every word, because he leaves me notes.so in my opinion they are both very useful and accurate.

Dear Understud,

Being in the control of another's authority refers only to your actions.  What you think and feel are yours and without certain drugs or brainwashing techniques, cannot be controlled by another.

By not acknowledging those feelings and thoughts to yourself, you are not being true to yourself or to the one that you have accepted that authority from.

In a healthy relationship, your partner can help guide and suggest to you emotions and thoughts that s/he finds more appropriate to a given situation, but you still remain in control of the decision in how you feel.

You must learn to own your thoughts and your feelings as part of yourself, just as you must own your faults and skills.  If you deny your innerself to yourself, you are denying it to your partner.  This is a significant part of yourself that makes you who you are.  A Dom/me or Master/Mistress is not a sub/slaves personal Jimminy Cricket.  They are not your concience (sp), and you are not a little wooden girl/boy trying to become real.  And anyone who believes otherwise is living in a storybook world.

I will put my $2 in. I enjoy the journals when I read them. The journals and forum posts tell me much more about the person than the checklist of loves, likes, dislikes etc.

I guess I'm too much of a private person, I only have two entries in my journal and they are not personal.  I just don't like telling strangers about my personal life.

I believe they can be quite accurate, more so than the original question (what's accutate?).

It has to be understood that the journal entries are a safe zone where thoughts can be put without fear of reprisal. That doesn't mean the entries cannot be talked about, just that they are not to be a reason for discipline.

edited to say; I am speaking about actual journals, not the ones on CM attached to profiles.

I love prattling on in my journal - its all very much tongue in cheek.... and I love the response I get from people about it.  I sometimes have a rant about things, but I try not to make it too personal.  Its just a shame that if you want to read someones journal from the start, it takes ages to get back to the first entry... gripe gripe gripe lol

CAN ANYONE IN THE POWER OF ANOTHER REALLY WRITE WHAT THEY FEEL?

well... yes!   i do... i write from my heart, what i think and feel and imagine and fantasise and... well... everything!
But then i think it depends on the individual writing and i can only speak for myself.

i write my thoughts and feelings down for my Master to read.  For me it is imperitive i be as open and honest with Him in knowing what i am thinking and feeling, so that we can have the deep D/s, M/s dynamic we both desire and need.

However, for it to really work, the one writing the journal has to be open and honest, not only with their Master/Mistress, but first and foremostly with themselves... otherwise its all just stories and serves no real purpose... Also as ScooterTrash points out, i know it is a safe place for me to express myself, without fear of retribution. Rather advice and guidance often follows, from Him understanding my ramblings.

i actually asked my Master if He would allow me to write for Him as a part of my expressing myself to Him, as i find it cathartic and really enjoy writing and sometimes i find it easier to express/explain myself in my writings than i do by mouth... if He doesn't understand something i have written He always seeks clarification and we discuss it so misunderstandings are usually avoided.

i don't keep a journal here in CM, simply because i choose not to.

As for writing here on the boards... if i come across a thread i feel i may be able to help/advise or simply enjoy responding to, then i respond... if it is a serious thread, then i always think before i write and then write from my heart... i can only hope that it may help at least one person, sometime, and if it does, then great!

just like i hope this helps you...
