BehaveSlutNow -> spam filter question (3/24/2012 9:15:07 PM)

I have recently been hit with the spam filter.
I am not a spammer but I have sent a lot of messages to alot of people being new to the site and eager to meet others with the same interests.

how long will this last?

does anyone actually know?

You can write to support on the other side; the link is at the bottom of the page.

One thing that may help you to avoid the spam filter is to not send copy and pasted emails.
When people perceive that they are getting spam (and copy/pasted emails sent en masse do qualify as such) they will be more likely to hit the spam button.

Reading people's profiles will help you to avoid being seen as a nuisance.

I think it's like 2-3 days. Could certainly be wrong. You got the warning applied to you because enough people reported you for being a spammer. As harmless and friendly as you thought your messages were, they obviously weren't coming off that way or you wouldn't have a problem. it's an automated system here where when there are enough user reports, the filter goes into effect. You might want to switch up your tactics as there were quite a few who reported you as being a spammer.

To avoid triggering our spam filter in the future, we recommend that you take the time to carefully read each profile and send a thoughtful response to those users who capture your interest. Sending out a lot of messages or friend requests at once can be really frustrating for the users who receive them and besides writing personalized messages is a great way to get a terrific response back yourself.

And when someone says no one under 30, and you ignore that and write them anyway, don't be surprised if they report you.

Join your local munch(es), meet people and learn how kinky people behave.
Hint, just like everyone else when it comes to meeting people. If you wouldn't go into a bar and ask every girl who caught your eye if she wants to fuck, then don't do it to strangers via email.

Out of curiosity, what does your typical message look like?

DarkSteven -> RE: spam filter question (3/25/2012 9:14:46 AM)

If it's anything like his profile, it will likely not be tremendously subtle.

Oh dear.

OP - the vibe I get from your profile is total HNG and not at all Dom. If you're interested in profile advice, say the word.

Minneapolis has a fair amount of groups and events and I recommend you go to this one next weekend: https://fetlife.com/events/91930/v2

That doesn't sound good. Good luck to OP to fix stuff lol

It was a good job I checked the profile before sympathisizing with him. Oh dear. lol But then again, he is new and I'm sure he'll learn with time. Best of luck.
