ORIGINAL: hlen5 I read Bernard Kerik's book. In it, he stated his mother was also beaten to death. When I read that, I tried to imagine what sort of person would hit someone to insensibility, THEN KEEP GOING? When I saw the movie, "The Killer Inside Me" I wondered the same thing. Losing control and striking someone in anger is one thing. It's still unacceptable, but a little more understandable than beating someone to death. Horrifying, absolutely horrifying. If this is what it looks like, in the scarcity of facts, I'll repeat that they better catch this killer quickly. It reminds me of the LA area serial/spree killer who was killing the homeless with a Rambo, with each attack growing progressively more brutal. I think the last victim had over 60 stab wounds. Before we get to that sort of manhunt though, do we have an earlier threatening note, or just a report of one they didn't report? What were the relationships like in the house? Who was home? I understand the rush to accuse politically didn't work out so well in the recent string of murders in France. It might be the case here, as well.
