ORIGINAL: cloudboy Clear enema x 3 with butt plug nozzle in pillory for 25 minutes OR Soapsuds with clear x 2 with inflateable on spnkng bench for 1 hr? I don't understand the terminology. What is a clear enema? - Clear water, no additives, usually isotonic normal saline 0.9%. This ensures that electrolyte imbalances do not occur on account of salt/water osmotic transfer. What does x3 mean? - Three enemas. Three is the maximum recommended number of enemas given with any solution other than normal saline - tap water included - so as the limit the potential electrolyte imbalance or water absorption which can cause increased blood pressures or exacerbate any condition that could lead into chronic heart failure or fluid overload. "in pillory for 25 minutes" -- does this mean retaining the emema that long with a butt plug in place? - Yes. With an isotonic solution the great majority of the enema solution remains in the bowel instead of crossing the bowel wall. While it can be highly uncomfortable, retention enemas using isotonic solution has a far less chance of causing fluid overload or electrolyte imbalances. "Soapsuds with clear x 2" -- means what exactly? - First enema with a capful of either medical grade castille soap or a capful of Dr. Bronner's peppermint castille soap. In an isotonic solution the enema remains in the bowel, lubricating and cleansing the bowel tract. The soap potentiates the cleansing effect, but can also cause a slight irritating effect on the bowel, stimulating peristalsis, the wavelike movement or rippling of the bowel that forces waste along the tract. Clear x 2 means the soapsuds enema is followed by two isotonic enemas of clear water to flush out the castille soap from the bowel tract, reducing or eliminating any further irritating effect the soap may produce on the bowel. "with inflateable on spnkng bench for 1 hr?" You mean retain the enema for 1hr while on spanking bench with inflateable butt plug? - Yes. The inflateable plug aids in retention, and the prolonged time ensures that all solid waste in the bowels is reduced to a liqueous form and the water will move along to the transverse and descending colon instead of remaining in the ascending colon. One possible effect of a high colonic enema is to liquify waste before the bile salts from the gall bladder have finished digestion processes, and the resulting stool will appear a bright or forest green. Normally the bile salts complete digestion in the bowel tract and the salts turn the stool its characteristic brown color and are responsible for the unique odor. ------- Seems to me the choice is between lesser volume and longer retention and higher volume with shorter retention -- with a soap suds variable. For the uninitiated like myself, could you please define your terms?
