Conservative Justice Antonin Scalia suggested on Wednesday that the Supreme Court could strike the "Cornhusker Kickback" from President Barack Obama's landmark health care overhaul without having to invalidate the whole law. He was right, in a way: The notorious provision isn't in the law.

The "Cornhusker Kickback" was the derogatory nickname of one of several sweetheart deals designed to ensure that the law had enough votes to pass. Amid a public uproar, lawmakers ultimately stripped the measure from the law.

Oops.

Yes, I admit: I haven't read the law either. But then, I'm not on the Supreme Court.

When you're a political "justice," details and facts aren't relevant, dc. Only justifications.

Did you guys mock Nancy Pelosi when she said they needed to pass the bill before beginning to understand it? Perhaps Scalia was making fun of her, and will read the bill before rendering judgement.

I mock her for being an idiot. Is that close enough?

Works for me, because the only other politician that deserves even more mocking is Schumer.
