ORIGINAL: farglebargle Judge for yourself. IF Martin and Zimmerman did get in a fight, do Zimmerman's injuries support his claim of being in immediate danger of Great Bodily Harm ( in the specific legal context ) or Death? Not even close. Looks like Zimmerman had better practice bending over. Interestingly enough, The Daily Caller is now suggesting that the grainy photos may in fact show a head injury. a still image from the video indicates what appears to be a vertical laceration or scar several inches long There's still no evidence of the "broken nose" though. K. Such a laceration is unlikely from a head being hit on the sidewalk, you do know that right? Of course, if it is a scar, it is an old injury. Yes, a school photo of Martin, where of course he looks like a happy, innocent kid and Zimmerman's previous mug shot could be misleading. I will say again, if Zimmerman had a broken nose and such a severe laceration that would have required stitches, the police could not have over-ridden paramedics recommendation that Zimmerman go to the hospital. They could have gone with him, they could have maintained custody, but they would not and could not tell the paramedics that they were going to deny Zimmerman medical treatment. Think about the hot water something like that would have put them in. If Zimmerman is the son of a judge, he has been around legal issues all his life. Judges are practicing attorneys long before they become a judge. Pictures of his injuries would have been "leaked" somewhere, somehow. Also, he would have the knowledge to demand that the police allow him to get necessary medical attention. Yet, none of that happened, and until someone provides the answer as to why that is, I'm going to continue to believe it is because those injuries didn't exist. Honestly, I don't think race had much to do with this. He was dressed the way the majority of teenage boys dress these days. I think that George Zimmerman, who want to be a police officer, but never passed the test or was accepted in the academy (forget where I read that) was determined to be the most diligent neighborhood watch "captain" ever. I think he was over zealous and determined to become a "hero" however he could. Another statement I read where he was dumbfounded that this hadn't "blown over" by now is nauseating. It shows a total disregard for what he did. Even if it was completely justified (which I will never believe), killing someone doesn't "blow over" in a month for most people.
