Whyever not? Seriously, the heroic is by definition out of the ordinary. If this soldier's (exemplary) conduct is heroic, then it can't be a typical action, can it?

It is all relative Moon...by typical I mean this type of act and kindness is much more typical to our armed forces then the peeing on the dead and the acts of a mad man...so nit pick away it will not change the basic goodness of the American soldier. Butch

Being heroic can mean someone exceptional but not necessarily so.
