What's everyone's take on "online play"? I've seen some Dominant women on here that claim to be looking for that.

Online play is apparently something that's very fulfilling to many, regardless of gender or dynamic.
There are hundreds of things that other people may be into that may not rock our world, and I'm sure
our take on those things isn't going to hinder their ability to enjoy themselves.

What's your take on it?

I think that 15 or more years ago, when I was a new widow who had just discovered a whole world where people admitted they liked the things I liked, a year of online play gave me time to sort outthe language and figure out who and what I was and what I wanted. For instance, I am a very service oriented slave, very much a good girl - but my first profile said something like that I was 'untamable', because I thought that was what would be wanted in this world. I would rather have learned to express who I really was BEFORE moving on to meeting people real time. It also gave me time to discover the meetings avialable to me, before I ever went to meet a person. It taught me safety rules and other things newbies should know before meeting someone. So, in the end, I went to meetups, such as munches, before coffee with a single guy. And by the time I was thinking about meeting someone for coffee, I knew to not respond to the ones who told me when and where and what to wear and call me Master before he knew me. All in all, it was a safe place to learn.

Dommes who are solely looking for that are probably professional dommes who charge for their time.

I've always hated it. I'm terrible at writing fiction/putting my feelings into writing. However, I don't automatically condemn the people who like it.

For me, part of D/s is "getting inside the head" of my sub: finding out what makes her tick, then making her tock. Online play can do that.

that. Although honestly, I'm not thinking of "play". But yes, when a woman submits to me whether it's over the phone or local I get many of the same rewards that I get when Carol does it... just in lesser degrees. And not always in much lesser degrees either. Sometimes, some women have submitted in ways which have been pretty impressive to me... one woman did so just recently although I sincerely doubt she'd see it that way -- it was just a casual phone call.

For me, the big payout is the trust and respect. That can be earned then given readily via words.

You have?  Well, I'll be damned, but I'm shocked.

Hey, I don't supposed you would do Me a favor?  Go through that list of "some Dominant women" and figure out which ones aren't professionals.  When you've narrowed it down to the non professional ones only, send Me a list of those names via email.  That way, I'll have a reference list for the bi-weekly threads about "why aren't any Dominant women interested in watching a guy jerk off on cam without charging" threads that we get around here.  Thanks.

As to your actual question, I don't have any interest in online play with anyone that I haven't met in the flesh.  There's not a thing that somebody on the net can do that I can't get from one of My in person play partners can't.  Plus, the in the physical world types bruise up a lot prettier.

For what it's worth, I ran across two ten years ago. At least one of them was doing it behind her husbands back. I really didn't like it though so I haven't been open to doing online since.

I think it's completely lame. There's something behind hiding behind a computer. With the widespread info of BDSM on the WWW, finding local people and spaces isn't an issue.

Like playing Wii by myself.
