I do not understand your question. BDSM stands for bondage, discipline, sadism, and masochism, so you are kind of losing Me when you are asking the difference.

If they say they are sadistic, it means the enjoy administering pain.

As mentioned by LadyPact, sadism is a component of BDSM, not the whole of the kinks covered by the heading. You can be into other aspects of BDSM without enjoying giving pain, and you can enjoy giving pain without an interest in other facets of the lifestyle.

Sadists are just into pain play. They're not going to tell you no strawberry ice cream, just buy chocolate. Or if they do, you won't feel that you have to obey them.

If someone else has control over you, then it's more than just pain/sex. It means they're dominant and you're submissive.

Now some dominants are sadists, but some aren't.Some sadists are dominant but some are submissive. Some enjoy both.

I am not a Master instead I am a 100% submissive/slave. BDSM is just into Bondage - some real tight and some able to move around. Sadistic Master will torture you whether you like it or not and only stop when they are fully satisfied, NO begging, NO pass word will be used and even blood is seen, the torture continue. While serving such a Sadistic Master [if he has a dungeon - you will be chain to the wall or floor or suspended or kept in a tiny cage when not in use. You will be in total nudity all the time.
