Status: offline 		Not looking for any advice here, just had an inclination to randomly profess my love for my bullwhip. Happy... Crack the bullwhip. Bored... Crack the bullwhip. Frustrated... Crack the bullwhip. Mad... Crack the bullwhip. I love to hear the loud report echo off houses. It's oh so satisfying to slices leaves from a tree an inch at a time. Even the painful welt across various parts of the body are a welcome reminder to stay in control. Yesterday I sliced a beer can in half for the first time and I was grinning like an idiot for the rest of the day.

And I'm sure Carol is eternally grateful! The bullwhip will cleave flesh to the bone! You can do a "crack & wrap" technique where you crack the whip out past your target and then let the fall wrap around them. Looks good, and preserves soft subbie meat. I still dont feel comfortable trying that yet and I'd consider myself decently accurate. One stray throw and and you'll need emergency first aid and a lawyer.

You're right... I need to get video proof next time.

Status: offline 		A couple of years back, I wrote a post very much like this one.  My other half bought Me the most beautiful whip and I was having so much fun just from practice.  We had this great outdoor patio covered in vines and they made perfect targets.

If I could give a piece of advice.  It's not just the crack of the whip.  It's learning not to crack as well.  Both have their place.

Status: offline 		I used to play with someone who would merely crack the whip in the air when I was bound and blindfolded - the mere sound and my resulting fear reaction was all we needed to enjoy it.

I once had a very experienced Master give me a taste with a bullwhip. Not a wrap, but actual flicking with the tip - he is wicked good. It was delicious...hurt like hell. :)

It's not as accurate.  As long as you don't hit too low, hitting the candle itself, you can be several inches higher than the wick and still put the thing out.  That just means that you are using the push of the air from the cracker, rather than making actual contact.  Plus, once the whip has wax on it (if you connect) you have to change the cracker out, anyway.
