I have to congratulate The Boston Red Sox. They killed The Cardinals. They got them down from the first game and never let up. And let's not forget what they did to The Yankees and The Angels. 2004 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox. Congrats!

It was an amazing series, and they certainly deserved the win. Especially after making the Yankees deliver the createst choke in baseball history. How sweet it is!

1918 my $#@%ing @#$! Now that some idiot woke me up blaring his car horn while driving down the street, I'll read about the dead "celebratators" in the riot tomorrow.

Hey left coasters, It's been 86 years. I'm in bed because it is @#$%ing 12:47 am. To hell with you guys wanting to see it during prime time. I think you could've lived with it ending at, oh say 6:40 and maybe I'd be bit bleary at work, but possibly awake for it.

End of the @#$%ing curse of the Bambino. Next year start of the curse of the Pedro.

(He'll want upwards of $15 million next year. No Pitcher that must be pulled by the 7th ininng is worth that. There is only 1 club that can pay him anyway. They are starving for pitching and their owner would see the sticking it to Boston as an added bonus. Pedro will pitch for the #@$%ing <spit> Yankees next year.)

The Yanks need leftys in the bullpen, they're chock full of decent right handers now. I would be surprised if they made a move to pick up Pedro next year. Besides, after that $192 million payroll this year (no wonder Steinbrenner's signing arm hurts in those Visa commercials), they are going to be looking for some bargain basement deals and look towards rebuilding. Their dynasty is done for a while.

BTW, what ythe rules? Can I turn over and burn a car after sunrise or must it a darkness thing? If it is my car, can I tell the insurance company it was not me?

Seriously now we can concertrate of the Patriots. I'm sorry, but seeing Wakefield warm his hands with his breath prior to game #1 was a bit much.

Maybe some karma rubbed off on them from the Patriots.

Well, I'm not much of a baseball fan, but I've rooted for the Red Sox because of the apparent curse. Now I'm just left with the Cubs.

If the Yankees have any sense at all they'll be talking to Derek Lowe, not Pedro. He's available...and he's got potential. He pitched brilliantly in the series.

Besides, wouldn't hiring Pedro almost be incestuous? They're his "daddy" afterall!

And for all the complaining about another team's "buying of the pennant", consider this question; how many Boston players on the field when the last out of the world series was recorded were originally signed by Boston? Answer - 0!

Like Halley's Comet, a Red Sox world series win comes rarely and most don't live to see two in their lifetime.

Blood on the moon, total lunar eclipse, war in the middle east, Red Sox winning the world series - All Biblical signs that the Apocalypse is near.

Hey Californian, oh great reason they won when I was IN BED. Get a real time zone. (I can understand you not going to the games and ducking chairs.:))

As for Boston buying a pennant. Um, Do you see who is in their division? Schilling was the fallback from losing the bidding war with NY for Brown. (or is it Browne?:))

On more than one occaision Steinbrener has had the Yankees enter the negotiating just to drive a player's asking price up.

SherrieA, Lowe had a mediocre season at best. He had a great post season, but... Varitek will also be a free agent. He is a catcher that will make mediocre pitchers good.

The opening day at Fenway next year when they raise the pennant and give out rings, the #@$%in' Yankees are the vistors. Anyone want to bet Steinbrenner would love to have someone get their ring in a Yankee uniform?

Congrats to the Red SOx! I was cheering for them all the way. It was a great AL championship to watch even better than the World Series though the World Series was the icing on the cake.
