You did make me smile the other day, when you decided to make your first(?) post on this site one where you told an attractive young dominant that her style of dominance was incorrect. This subject comes up a lot, but usually in sub men complaining.

You can do whatever you and the girl you want to play with agree to. As to what is commonly done, Domme women ask for tribute a lot more often than Dom men, because many sub men seem to get off on it, and few sub women seem to.

I have said on here before, in 15 or so years of play, I have had one play mate that demanded tribute. He did not ask for money. He had a list of very specific small gifts - his brand of tobacco, his favorite snacks or drinks, ect - very reasonable, money wise, it was not about the money, it was about the action. I enjoyed it, and since it was his idea, I assume he did too.

It only needs to be acceptable to those that find an interest in sending you one.

Thank you for the feedback. I had asked because I used to be very submissive. However my vanilla fiancé wanted me to be more dominant with her...which led to my Dom side being released. Anyway, my point is, when I was more of a submissive I noticed many Domme's requiring a tribute in one way or another.

Once I lived with a Dom who paid our bills - I gave him my paycheck for about 9 months until I took that control back. I would never do any sort of financial domination again.

I wouldn't rule this out:

But more commonly I'll express appreciation by cooking meals or giving massages or blow jobs ;)

I would find it tacky if a male Dom asked for a tribute in the courting stage, i.e., before he starts beating me.

Sure you can ask, but if you are looking for a female playmate, be prepared for her to laugh. That is not generally a female kink, and when men outnumber women on sites like this at about 10:1, women don't need to pay to get laid or dominated. So looking for women who WANT to tribute and get off on that is a very small niche market.
