like animal masks and opera masks and shit? i do. i think its kinda hot and i also think "the kind of person who watns to wear a mask is pretty hot." i mean as long as theyre not wearing the mask to cover up a face thats ugly or something.

I don't care for masks simply for the sake of someone wearing one, but they can be an excellent prop for some fantasy roleplaying.

I like to wear a mask. It makes me feel bigger and more powerful. I am fine with wearing a half face mask.

Masks? Nah, no specific interest there. I'm sure that there could be masks I find to be attractive in some circumstance, but for the most part I like to see my Master's face when I look at him.

Fast reply No they do nothing for me, whether it's me wearing them or my partner. Then again, we don't generally go in for much in the way of props or dressing up. I'm involved in some theatre projects and so for me putting on a mask feels like taking a step away from reality - I realise that might be the appeal for some people but not for us. And my husband doesn't do dress-up in any way; it makes him feel silly. (Yes I know this makes no sense since my profile picture is of a mask. That's from one of the theatre projects and I didn't even notice until someone pointed out it could be seen as kinky)

Opera mask could be sexy. Dom wearing a mask would be mysterious. Being hard tied and a dom puts on a Saw movie mask would give me a heart attack.

I like masks and hoods, they can certainly add to the fantasy aspect... Wearing one can be like a disguise and help settle into the role more deeply, seeing one on a partner can add to the mystique... Part of the allure (though in reality is bunk lol) is that they are hiding their identity so can get away with doing more to you than they would normally... Pure fantasy in most cases but is the best way I can describe it As ever if you have a fetish for the material too it certainly heightens things in that respect too

not sexy at all, and just a little bit silly. We don't do role-play, we just are what we are. I think if I saw Master in a mask I'd have the theme tune from "The Lone Ranger" running through my mind on infinite loop [:D]

The point of a masked ball is that no one (not really, but you get to pretend) knows who anyone else is. The point in the bedroom is about the same, except that it is also about pretending to be someone you ain't. Or that your partner is someone, or perhaps something. When you step over the line and use a blindfold or, more deliciously, a hood, what you are doing is imprisoning what is in someones head in a 'secure, undisclosed location', while leaving the bod in the same room. Presumably for purpose of exploitation. But, of course, none of us would do anything like that. Would we? See! You are perfectly safe with us. So... kick your shoes off. Stay a while.

Creepy tiger is creepy...[:D] To the Op: I've never really thought masks were attractive. If anything, I think a mask takes away from a person's appeal. When my dom and I are getting it on, it's the sternness, or sadism, or primal attitude I can see in his facial expressions that really make me feel dominated and turned on. If he wore a mask, I'd lose all that.

for some strange reason.. what springs to my mind is those gang bang porn vids where some of the men are wearing masks (or balaclavas, etc) to hide their faces & identity as they are taking their turns banging the lil slut.. should their wife, girlfriend, relatives, friends stumble across/watch the vid and recognize them.. lol.. just sayin' [:D]

Actually that was my first thought too, "What if the mask is covering up something horrible?" Then I remembered how profound but also sad the Phantom of the Opera was and felt guilty for being so shallow.
