ORIGINAL: tsatske So... I do not get excited about blind or first dates, as a rule. I mean, it's someone you haven't met yet. Most of them do not work out and are not a match. BUT... I had a blind date scheduled for today. He was supposed to be driving up from BFI... He asked me if he could drive up to see me, I didn't ask him... I gave him my #. He called last night and we talked for like 3 hours. He was a Christain. He was Kinky. He was Monagamous. *(please add the phrase He said or He claimed to be in front of any and all 'he was's). He was active in both church and the kink community. He was on good terms with his family. He was so perfect. Of course, all perfect guys are either married or gay, right? Guees which one he is. When he became late, I called the number he called me from last night to make sure he wasn't lost. His wife answered the phone. He and she and their six kids are living together with her sister while they get on their feet. Since he doesn't have a cell phone, he had called me from his SIL's cell phone. I guess I don't have a date for tonight. Oh, well. Sorry to hear about that, but sounds like you avoided a big waste of time with a liar. Watch out for the ones who have to advertise about how Christian they are and how active they are in church. There's obviously nothing wrong with either, if that's what makes you happy. But the more they advertise that, the more I see it as a front. For them, it's all about saying what you want to hear in any given context, to garner whatever they can get from you until you find out the truth. Organized religion is just one more venue for them to hunt.
