Has anyone everyone ever been approached by a Master or Mistress who tells them to create a profile for BDSM.com and them upgrade it, in order to "earn their favor?" I just had this happen. I was not foolish enough to upgrade my account, i simply deleted it, but i was wondering if others had run into this same thing? I appreciate any feedback that can be provided.

Never heard of the site till you mentioned it- looks completely lame though. What you described is a scam, but you seemed to know that. I'm actually not sure what you wanted feedback on...?

This is just one of an endless list of variations where a COMPLETE STRANGER tells you to do something.

Earning someone's favor usually means you know and trust them to desire to do that (unless of course, your kink is doing the bidding of complete strangers).

BDSM.com is the same as Alt.com basically, same profiles just a different skin. If you have an alt account you'll be able to log in there too

Not to Alt.com in particular, but I have had a sub I contacted here on CM tell me she was on a different site and I should come join her.

Required a CC to setup and prove I was an adult. I didn't sign up.

You know what's great about Collarme? They warn you about the common scams. If you read the common scams that Collarme warns you about you will find this.

[color=#990033 size=2]These scammers will feign an interest in you and then send you a link to website or a phone number (not necessarily a 900 number) where you will be required to pay a subscription fee to see the scammer's profile, see them "on cam", or speak to them on the phone. Of couse, these scammers work for the companies in question and are collecting a profit for every 'sucker' they can get to sign-up for their paid services.

If you open an email -- either one you've sent, or one you've received -- under the big red warning letters, there are blue letters that say "Read about Common Scams and Online Safety Information". Click on the blue and you'll get the page pepermint quoted from.
