To the Seamus` of the world......it is good news......[:D] What most folks will get out of the mess is that though the guy is cute and rich and charming......is really a thoughtless fuck-up. It was better for Mitt when it was still deniable.....ie just a nasty rumor. No longer. If the guy had some balls,he would have flipped it on Diane and made her look foolish instead,ya know...the "gotcha" question charge, that works so well with the sheep.Another missed opportunity.[:D]

Well and that response to Diane Sawyer shows that more than 20 years on and hundreds of times having to address the issue - he still has learned NOTHING from the incident! How can anyone trust him to run our country when most of us would not give him 5 minutes with our dog?

It started kicking up in the late 80s when he started taking political pokes at the state of Massachusetts. This is entirely consistent with his attitudes and policy statements about welfare mothers, education, labor, etc. In other words, if you are in any way in need or dependent, expect to be "strapped to the car and along for the ride", but don't expect any type of special treatment, heck, don't even expect humane treatment. Any kind of weakness/dependency is viewed as an inconvenience by people like Romney. Not something that needs to be handled with care and compassion. His statement to Sawyer is 100% consistent with who he is as a human being - consistent with his values. Why does anyone expect him to be anything other than himself?
