ORIGINAL: SternSkipper quote:
Rosen said that Ann Romney hasn't worked outside the home. Okay, she was a housewife. It's true. She hasn't worked outside the home. Rosen never stated once that Ann Romney has never worked. Just that she hasn't worked outside the home. Huuuuuuuge difference. Absolutely... Ann Romney is a fucking election prop... period. But she demonstrates a HUGE disconnect with the middle class. I think I would have worded it differently by saying the key difference between Ann Romney and working moms in the middle class is that Ann Romney has never during her mom-dom not had a domestic staff. Ann Romney should not be any part of this election. It's not her we're electing (or not electing). It's Mitt. And, Mitt's dragging her into the scene with his line about listening to her regarding the economy was not serious and the left knows it. To attempt to make a claim that either the President or Romney (and their families) are connected to the Middle Class is some of the best fiction writing ever. The Obama's have come up through shit to get where they are, but they, too, had an awful lot of help in doing so. Their activities present their current disconnect with the Middle Class quite easily. Neither Michelle, nor Ann should have any bearing on this election, nor in the campaigns. To be critical of either as a way to malign either candidate is dead wrong and contemptible.
