Agreed.

Such assessments are not uncommon from those that can't conceive of pulling it off, though, and not exactly rare from those that could but don't care to. Around these parts, I commonly run into people who think maintaining an M/s dynamic 24/7 is fantasyland. The pig, pony, puppy and feline crowds probably run into such preconceptions far more frequently.

Well, we see ourselves vastly above species such as pigs, or ponies or dogs. They will always be 'below' humans because they do and behave in ways that arent appropriate for humans. So to many, it's probably extremely humiliating to be turned into such a specie. I know I'd probably choke with humility.

I think some people just find pleasure in making a human act like another species, specially since it humiliates and degrades them. I wouldn't know. I never participated in petplay, except light kitten-play :p Which I find more fun than anything.

But you have to understand that your comment was very general, and if anyone didn't know any better, it sounds like you're condemning a whole kink just because it sounds slightly unrealistic ^^
Of course there are profiles who come off like that, but those exist in every branch. I just found it a bit offensive to wave off a whole kink as being just porn.

But im guessing that wasnt your intention :)

That they're into serious humiliation/degradation. And I would be more likely to consider them without any real life experience if male, simply because male subs get inundated in porn with all that lowly worm stuff, and therefore would assume that to attract a real life dominant female they have to buy into it, or at least say they do.

Some of My subs who are into financial domination, enjoy the term. I assume they enjoy the humiliation as much as I like humiliating them. But I have only heard it used during sessions, porn and on some profiles, and when subs refer to themselves as pigs.

I can't get with it, but I knew of a situation where a woman who labeled herself as a slave wanted it. It was a hint that I should move on. She said that a "hardcore Dom" she had weekend sessions with made her be his pig. For her it was a dehumanization thing, and she wanted it 24/7.

Like I said it was not my thing in the least bit. But, whatever float your boat, I try not to judge others and their kinks. However. I do feel it was a case where she was inexperienced and wonder if she has found a Dom that wanted to do this for her.

Well I'm not talking on the behalf for everyone... Like I said, kitten-play would have no humiliating effect on me whatsoever, while others would choke with humility over it. What I'm saying is that I understand where some of these people come from. But I've also seen people use animal play in ways that weren't for humiliation purposes and just a way of life.
Like cow-play... At first I thought it must have been a humiliation thing, as personally something like that would choke me as well. But as I investigated the fetish further, I found out that a lot of people find it a way of life for them, and that they are genuinely interested in the actions... such as milking and all that. For some it was even endearing. So you're right ^^ I guess I forgot to mention that I was talking about the people who participate in pig-slave play for humiliation purposes, as that's what I've seen it used for so far.

And I think it's certain behaviors of animals that can be very humiliating for some. For example, if you're a pony, someone could make you live in a barn, which some would find humiliating as well. But I guess you don't necessarily have to include animals to engage in such thing.
