Greetings to all,
Allow me to formally re-introduce myself: I am called Orion, or OrionTheWolf, around the internet and various lifestyle communities. I have never posted an introduction before, so…. Guess I can get re-acquainted with everyone. Some of you know me, as I have been on these forums since about 2005 under a slightly different name, and this one since 2006. I used to be a very prolific poster in the Gorean section, and to a lesser degree in Ask a Master, Off topic and Politics and Religion.
Yes I am Gorean, but I am not what many of you have been exposed to. If you want to know more about those beliefs, philosophy and morality you can search for some of my previous posts or contact me, as I am always open for a good discussion on all things. Suffice to say that “Just because someone was born with a dick, does not mean they are in charge, but they may very well be a dick.”
I do not usually share my personal information, and there are very few around the community that knows who I am offline. This is for a few reasons, which I will not go into here, except to say that the obligation and duty to my family is my only fear of outing.
I have a girl, she is mastered and surrendered to me, and we have a son. He is not my biological son, but I have adopted him, and been his “Daddy” since he was about 7 months old. I also have a 20 year old son, a 26 year old daughter, a 28 year old daughter, a 3 year old Granddaughter, and another Grandbaby on the way (woohoo!!! I love being Gampa). They are my world, keep me centered, grounded and help to remind me of where I have come from, where I am, and where I look to go. Yes I am very philosophical, introspective and analytical in many ways.
I love nature, music, reading, writing, spending time with family, my work, tactical/strategy games, and a former role player of several games when role playing was actually improve acting rather than what online gaming has made it into. I no longer play role playing games, as there is no time, and the landscape of it has changed. I am self studied and taught on everything I know. Formally I have no college education, but funny that I teach classes a few times a year to those that have 8 plus years of college. The paper on the wall does not mean as much to me as the knowledge.
I have been away as time has not allowed me much luxury time for myself, and that may continue, but I am going to see if I can get involved in some discussions, learn some more things and may share my knowledge and perspective. There is a Gorean saying that “Goreans are harsh, but seldom cruel.”, so please do not mistake my civility for weakness, I am equally adept at heated exchanges, but unless they bear some fruits of knowledge or foster communication I find little use for not being at least civil. I am not perfect, I have read around and see things have changed, I am prepared to receive those gold letters and learn how to better word things to get my point across, but through it all the most important thing to me in a discussion is “truth”, even if it shows something ugly about myself, or maybe I should say especially if it shows me something in me that is ugly and needs to be changed.
