Kal my old online friend, it is indeed good to see you. Rememeber rule 1: Have fun. Those were some fun days playing Evony, but it became so much a chore. Funny how we knew each other from this site and of the thousands of players on that one of a hundred servers, we bump into each other. I am here because one day my mum and dad got together and loved one another very very much... [8D] These forums are nice to read and explore, much better to navigate than fetlife and IC. I like the people and like the friendlier banter, if i can help or offer my experience I will, it's nice to feel useful

Hey the comedy relief is actually a good reason. I think you can likely do better though from me reading some of your past post. When I first started many years ago I spent a few months reading before I ever posted. I did some reading again, before I decided to try a return. My internet usuage over the last 12 years can be broken up into different phases of my life. There is a forum for each one! I stalked the board for a couple months before posting. I am just delighted to find a messageboard full of kinky, like-minded folk. It has added some fun to this brand new chapter in my life. And I thoroughly enjoy the company. [:)]

You mean there's no prize, award, or special certificate for regular attendance? Well, that changes things, a bit. I find myself asking the same question but, I only ask myself. I would never deign to ask another why they choose to do something. I just assume they have reasons that are good enough for their own cause(s). All kidding aside, I am here because I enjoy gathering different viewpoints and I enjoy respectful, honest disagreement as it is the only way that we learn or change our opinions. I am here because it is here that I would be if all things were different except for the way that I was born. Peace and comfort, Michael

But how many have read this topic, but not answered? Do you think they at least asked themselves the question and answered it? Joined about two lives ago when Ars practically begged me to have a look. Place had a unique and interesting complement of people and a peculiar flavor I found to my liking, so I stuck around. Sort of tripped into the Gorean section during what seems to me in hindsight to have been its golden era. Arguing with you, K, Leo, Tim, Bull, Kim, etc. was the best time of online for me since the world moved past dialup, I think. Thought provoking, educational and a significant life impact. Plus, of course, all the wonderful humor and banter. Staying around because the place is still occasionally entertaining, plus a lot of familiar faces. I will probably disappear from here within a year for offline reasons. Glad to see you around again. Yay grandkids. [:D] IWYW, - Aswad.

i joined because the other site i am a member of is just too quiet. i wanted a place where i could talk about anything and everything including sex. it's busy here with some really nice people. i do miss reading some of the people who were here when i first joined though. needles

The reason that I'm here varies according to My viewpoint and My mood. Primarily, it is for the discussions about kink and/or authority dynamics. Often, I'm in the minority group on certain subjects, and I like hanging around for other people to remember that not every dynamic or household works like theirs. Sometimes, that can add to discussions and make them more interesting, for Me, at least. Networking is definitely in there. I don't especially use the place to find play partners, etc, but it gives Me the opportunity to connect with folks from just about everywhere, just in case I end up where they are someday. Might as well add promoting events in there because I've done My share of that, too. Definitely for the entertainment/comedy factor. Nobody can deny that this place is funnier than darn near anything on television. Part of it is to stay connected with some of the posters who have been around for a while. A lot of those old conversations have certainly been good ones and I have an easier time having those here than on FL.
