Are you certain that what you want is to be a slave in which your purpose is to serve?
Serving does not mean misbehaving so that you can be punished when punishment is really what you want all along.

What skills do you have?
Can you cook well?
Can you keep a clean, tidy and organised home?

Are you good at keeping track of someone else's schedule?

Basically my question to you is this:
What is your goal in wanting to serve someone?

Status: offline 		What can make me a good slave is not trying to impress my Master but pleasing Him.  My duties include doing all the meal preparation, all the laundry and ironing, the housekeeping, shoping for groceries, taking care of the vegetable garden, being a companion for Him, and pleasing Him in bed.  It sounds like a lot of work but after all ... i am His SLAVE.

Being a good slave requires you follow the rules, that you serve with your heart and mind and spirit rather than just going through the motions. A good slave dedicates themselves entirely to their Owner, for their Owner's benefit.

As for how to impress a Mistress? That depends on the Mistress.
Unfortunately, most Mistresses expect their slaves to be hardworking, whether they're impressed by it or not.

First you impress people by being honest and being yourself. That's as true in a sub-domme relationship as any other kind. If you just playing a character, you won't be able to sustain the performance for long.

Second, you impress people by listening to them. Don't go in with a laundry list of promises and ideas of how to please a domme before you know anything about the domme. What impresses one domme might not impress another. And every domme might not impress you.

If you are talking about specifically "BDSM PLAY" or doing S&M, I would say once trait is absolutely priceless: Empathy.

If you have a dominant woman doing kinky things with you, or a "vanilla" woman experimenting with you, it's important that you really pay attention to what she is feeling, experiencing, enjoying and watch her cues and make sure she is getting what she needs out of it. Make sure she's having a hell of a time.

If you are with a bonafide "sadist," while I can't speak for all, I can tell you that if they are wired like me, they get off on the reactions of their "victim" and his vulnerability. While I can be pretty clear about it, some subs miss blatant clues and others are brilliant at observing things even I don't pick up on myself.

What does it mean? Be present. Be involved. Pay attention. Push her buttons. Make sure she's having a good time. If she is a sadist, make sure she's enjoying your suffering. Make sure she knows you are helpless. Use every essence of your being to show her.

If she is into humiliation, don't hide your shame.

Your job is to get her off. Don't forget it, if your role is being her 'bottom' in S&M.

While I agree with the above, I think it is half of the task. The other side of the coin is self-awareness, or self-empathy, if you will. Understand the difference between your likes, your dislikes, and your limits, and be able to communicate clearly but supportively if your limits are being approached. The goal is to ensure the person topping/domming you knows that he/she cannot harm you, because you will let them know in plenty of time, and in a not-modd-killing way, if they are getting too close to the edge. This then allows the top to be much more creative and free, and you will both enjoy it more.

(And, of course, you might be harmed anyway, but if both bottom and top are actively paying attention to the possibility, it is far less likely to happen.)
