Well put, many (not all) voters dont look past party politicics and often support manifestos they dont agree with.

DC, I didn't answer boi's post because I don't see them. It IS a republican stronghold and while Trace is republican... He's also 'gggggay'. When it happened, I offered him the services of a civil rights attorney I used to date from Brown. He declined saying "It's a small town and I have kids, and they've been through enough already".
I can't say he made the right decision or not. But what I CAN'T and won't say is that he made the wrong decision for himself. We live in a 390 year old town and there are actually guys on the police force and in the town government (though just one now, as far as I know) who's ancestors landed in that skiff onto half moon beach. You get in the wrong persons line of fire and life takes on a weight to it.
