Personally, I prefer to keep some modesty (ok not a lot of modesty but it is some), but I won't hate on people for nudity especially if the profile is well rounded anyway.

i'll have to say that any nudity, as much as I may appreciate it, in a profile shot says to me that the person is there for sex. Sex isn't hard for me to find. I tend to toss out those who are looking for that because it is exactly so easy to find, in favor of those I find stimulating intellectually or personality wise.

To me, it doesn't seem appropriate to have skin shots at this stage of the game....when you meet someone at a party do you take your shirt off? So I guess that puts me in the minority. It just seems rather cheesy and superficial. And hey...if you're after hookups and casual, then nudity is exactly the way to go. I'm not, so my opinion is biased that way. YMMV. If I get a message from someone with nudity in the profile I don't respond. I'm not a prude. At all. It just says to me that the guy showing me his body is on a different wavelength than I am. I figure if someone wants to see that type of picture they can ask for it after getting the introductory preliminaries out of the way.

OP: Your profile is well-written enough that a nude picture wouldn't be a deal-breaker, but I would be skeptical that you were relationship-oriented rather than hookup-oriented unless said picture was done incredibly well (ie, could pass as an "artistic nude").

Unlike Killerangel, I would respond. I'd just be cautious.

Thank you all so much for your replies, I am so grateful. Especially the kind comments about my profile and the private messages.

OK, well now I am kind of leaning to not including the naked pictures. Its just a shame I can't put a normal picture of myself on my profile, but I work with teenagers so I just can't take the risk.

I will think about something very artistic, in black and white, without 'Mr Happy' on show, but it does seem it might be safer to not include it.

I am sorry for the delay in responding it was getting late in my timezone so I ended up going to bed even though I was enjoying everyone's response.

Welcome to the boards, Made. I agree, your profile is well written and a nice change from the usual. Re: nude pics: generally, women are not visual in the same way men are. You show us your ass, we think you're an ass. Show us your dick, we think you're a dick. Show us your smiling face 3/4 turned to avoid positive identification, or an outstretched arm with an open palm welcoming us along with your well-written profile and we MIGHT just think 'hmmm, wonder what's under the hood?'
