Greetings! I've lived in Chicago, Denver and the Caribbean. The Carribbean is MUCH too small. Everyone knows everyone else's business - and talks about it. Not just on one island, but news travels fast. For me, Chicago is TOO much to do, so one must be careful about getting involved in too much at once. And that's true for vanilla as well as kink. For me, Denver is too little to do. LOL! I moved here, following a lover that I met in Chicago while he was visiting relatives. Denver often appears as #1 on "Best places to Live" surveys. Temperate climate, with skiing a few hours away. Museums have greatly improved in last few years. Hi-tech firms are moving here. Schools? Not so hot - leading to what's called the "Denver educational paradox." Least obese city - lots of concern about natural foods and the like. More vitamins per capita, etc. Denver just installed "Bike share." For a small annual fee, you get a card that un-locks a bike at one location and times you until you place it in different (or same) rack. First 1/2 hour is free! Split the difference? 3 choices come up. San Francisco - NOPE! Can't handle the thought of an earthquake. Might not happen in my lifetime, but paranoid in any instance. Philadelphia? Never been there, but would like to try it. Atlanta? Was there on business a couple of times, and enjoyed it very much. ======== Bottom line? If you're looking for kink-friendly ANYWHERE in the world, you're going to need to be URBAN. City choice depends on your next-on-list criteria. ======== My fantasy? Berlin for pied-a-terre, Chicago for principal residence.
