I know exactly what this guy went through after coming home to this...

The only difference was mine wasn't sitting at the door acting like nothing had happened.[8|]

I sent this to a friend who came home to find part of a wall and baseboard eaten when her lab was a puppy.

Mine was a 7 month old Dobie that decided my sofa cushions [amongst other things] would look much better in pieces on the floor.....[sm=banghead.gif]

ps. Did I mention the sofa was less that 2 weeks old.

My uncle has two boston terriers, they demolished the house when he was gone. My aunt took a pic of the mess, omg I would have killed them. lol.

Yeeesssss. Pets, they call 'em.

At best, the dogs don't realize that what they have made is a mess of things. Things that belong to their owner. That's the best it could be, they just don't get it. And that is , from where I'm coming from, a great reason not to have a dog. That, and having to 'be there' for the animal when I would rather be biking the Oregon Coast.

If the situation is not the best it could be, then it's not that good. The Dachshund wearing Beagle colors is wagging his tail in anticipation of witnessing the total freak out he has engineered.

As any cyclist will tell you, dogs can be a real pain in the patoot.

I can't help wondering how well exercised these dogs were and how much time they spent alone.

When my ex and I first got our husky, he had separation anxiety and was destructive. So R started taking him to work and for the most part he was with someone 24/7. Eventually, we were able to leave him alone on the weekend with no ill effects.

The funniest thing he used to do was to bite my toothpaste tube and toothbrushes. "Why is my toothpaste on the living room floor? Why does it have holes in it? Oh, puncture marks, BAD HUSKY!"

We have 5 dogs, so we try to avert problems by carefully managing tha pack. If something gets destroyed, it's our fault, not the dogs'.

My friend had a Great Dane that chewed up little kitchen throw rugs. One day, she came home and the dog had chewed up a Persian carpet. That had great sentimental and financial value. My friend's husband wanted to kill the dog ( he was an asshole). My friend pointed out that the dog had already told them it was going to chew up rugs. It was their fault, they should have confined the dog in a room with no rugs.

I had a tervuren bitch I dearly loved. She was a counter surfer and couldn't be trusted not to steal food. My relationship with her was more important to me than fighting with her about this bad habit. I made a habit out of keeping food out of her reach. One year I got careless, and she ate the Xmas goose. My fault for leaving it where she could get it. She was a pain in the ass, but god, I loved her.
