It seems to me when someone gets defensive, and twists the words of another, there is usually a reason, and it is not always a good or valid reason, yet mostly an attempt to sway focus, or derail the original observation.

Ok so why are you trying to derail the fact that twice was here to defend Loki? Because thats all this is looking like to Me.

There are several people that know about Loki's life most of which can be found in the threads... but why are you so blatantly trying to distract from the fact that He was wronged in this situation?

LaTigresse -> RE: Dominant or just a collector? (6/7/2006 8:53:41 AM)

In reading thru this and the witch hunt thread.......I believe my last post in "witch hunt" pretty much some up my feelings on this thread.
I am disgusted.

Really!  Reading through this soap opera-style tangled web is like reading a bad manuscript for Despirate Housewives

I realize that spring has already sprung, and the alligators in Florida are hungry for fresh meat, but aren't we supposed to be higher up on the food chain?  After all, we are a community civilized people ('ya think?), but we can't even get along with each other.

Sheesh!

OhBeMyMind -> RE: Dominant or just a collector? (6/7/2006 9:12:27 AM)

If you are going to quote me, please do so in the manner it was intended:
To me this was not appropriate:  "to the point that more than a few of us were even aware his wife was ill recently and that his six year old has a domly personality already."

The only thing I commented on.

And Now.......The Rest of the Storey!!!

Some of you may be unaware of this fact but any of you who have ever spoken to Loki probably know this. He is quite honest about them; to the point that more than a few of us were even aware his wife was ill recently and that his six year old has a domly personality already.

Really now? Explain this?

Is this your way of letting everyone know that you are a part of his circle of friends, one of his confidants?

There is really nothing to explain.....it was a question, posed by me to try to understand why you would post information regarding his wife's health and his kid's personality.   Maybe I did so in a less than tasteful way....so flame me...oh wait, you already did that.

Note: I am not very good at quoting different quotes from different posts, hopefully this end up looking right and is not too terribly hard to follow.

MistressOfGa -> RE: Dominant or just a collector? (6/7/2006 9:31:27 AM)

Not to add fuel to this fire, but to answer the OP's question: Dominant or Collector? Why cant he be both? It is not unheard of.

You know, never once have I even suggested that she wasn't, never once have I suggested that her intentions were anything other than defending him.

The only thing I commented on.

Ladies ... Ladies ... just let it go.  You have both made your points, and by continuing the argument you are doing nothing but making yourselves look petty.

Make your point.

Let the chips fall where they may.

Move on.

OhBeMyMind -> RE: Dominant or just a collector? (6/7/2006 10:08:34 AM)

Oh gawd.....don't know how that happened or really how to fix it.....Evidently I edited my own post in replying to one......sooo for anyone that is confused....post 65 is in reply to post 67.   Due to having too many windows opened at the same time I guess.
Sorry......just add it to all the other reasons my broomstick and hairy wart on my nose seems to be showing.

OhBeMyMind -> RE: Dominant or just a collector? (6/7/2006 10:14:07 AM)

You are right, I am done here (already made myself look like a dumbass with the mix up with editing and replying), so if any further communication to me regarding this thread is wanted, needed, whatever....I can always be reached on the other side.

oh good lord. This is about Loki?  I had no idea when I posted my response.  Damn, Im glad I sorta keep it diplomatic this time.

marieToo -> RE: Dominant or just a collector? (6/7/2006 10:41:21 AM)

aw gees.  Ok this is just a quick reply here.  I didnt know that this was about anyone in particular when I wrote here a couple of times (Thats not to say that I would have said anything differently in support of another human being who was seeking it.).   But now that people *other than* the OP have layed it all out for everyone to see, it is clear that each party did basically the same thing. Each spoke of each other in public forums.  I also unknowingly spoke to something Loki said on a post that I think pertained to this.  Anyway...hell, I personally never wouldve known who any of this was about.  But to take sides and continue pasting *either* of their statements from any posts at all is a dis-service to each of them.  These are two grown adults who can probably fend well for themselves, without others jumping in to complicate matters.  Man O Man, the aol chatrooms have nothing on THIS place!

bandit25 -> RE: Dominant or just a collector? (6/7/2006 10:42:10 AM)

This is indeed strange.  Here's my 2 cents.  We've all been fooled or whatever.  We've all acted like fools or whatever.  We (usually) know wtf to do.  Like Nike says Just Do It.  WW...let it go for crying out loud.  It appears that you WAY misunderstood someone's intentions.  Hey, it happens.  I don't know that party personally, but in just reading his posts...yeah, he flirts (not with me, damnit...sorry, Sir but you know my heart and the rest of me belongs to You).  Get over it and move on.  If you feel foolish, so bit it.  Suck it up.  I don't mean to sound unfeeling, but I remember that you profile said you were happily owned and not to contact you.  Stuff happens!

Mercnbeth -> RE: Dominant or just a collector? (6/7/2006 10:45:54 AM)

Does this mean there won't be any CM - Woodstock on 40 acres of farmland this fall?? Damn!

quote:

The bigger problem comes from worrying about what someone says about you on-line, or to let it effect you in any way other than to generate a chuckle and move on. If someone can say something to you here that ruins your day, or even ruins your minute; it's a good indication that you need to step away from the computer screen.

It's time for many to quickly step away...

crouchingtigress -> RE: Dominant or just a collector? (6/7/2006 11:12:20 AM)

[sm=applause.gif] My thoughts exactly.

quote:

ORIGINAL: CreativeDominant

It strikes me as a akin to so-called "player" behavior.  He wants you to cut off all contact with former dominants (insecurity?  jealousy?  to prove how serious you are about being 'his'?) before making your relationship real-time... when called on it, the fault is now yours...soon afterwards, he is moving...and moving...and moving on.  I don't call it very gentlemanly behavior.  I almost hate commenting on it in terms of D/s...so many variations of D/s relationships and so many types of domination / submission exist... but this person doesn't strike me as having several of the facets that a dominant is supposed to have:  responsibility and concern for the submissive he is with/courting, honesty, patience, 'real' self-assurance.

Personally...I think you got lucky in the long run.  MOO, YMMV [sm=cool.gif]
