Not really.
It's pretty much common knowledge that the IRS concentrates on chasing fraudulent claims from the bottom third of the population (primarily the system you have there instead of working tax credit: I'm not sure what the American version is called) while ignoring the .005% of loaded plutocrats who can't be bothered even hiding their money out of the country instead of paying whatever sliver is due against their income...

That's easy ... THE FRONT END OF THE MESS WE'RE IN.

However, that said WTF does anything you just said REALLY have to do with the topic.
Or is this just "Enter Thread / Insert BS" Night?

Hmm, let's see... The progressives whined up a STORM about Bush invading privacy, illegal wire taps, and the Patriot Act, despite the overwhelming support Bush got from from Democrats. Now, not only is Obama supporting spying on Americans, he's EXPANDING the spying programs, and making it easier to lock us up without due process...

I say it has EVERYTHING to do with the OP, don't YOU, Mr OWS?

Moonhead -> RE: More government spying proposed (5/9/2012 8:14:04 AM)

And whining from progressives stopped any of that how, pray tell?
The only telling thing i about any of that is the way that the whining has suddenly switched party lines since a Kenyan Marxist was elected as the chimp's third term.

Moonhead -> RE: More government spying proposed (5/9/2012 8:19:58 AM)

So you're not whining about the Kenyan's extension of the chimp's surveillance programmes like a schoolgirl who's lost a tooth yourself, then?

IS this your official position as a CO?

Stick to things you actually understand.

You're in a close tie for last with Fellow in terms of providing pertinent examples.

Sure but they have also hired more agents and expanded things.. Since 9/11 the IRS has been watching who enters the country, in particular expat Americans that have not been filing their yearly tax returns as they are legally required to, no matter where in the world they live.. The IRS has also gotten a list of all Americans that have debit/credit cards outside of the US (meaning they must be hiding money from the IRS).. and they are going after those that have not so stated on their tax returns that they have bank accounts outside the US.. The IRS have also apparently gone into Panama swat style breaking down non-filing Americans doors down.. So,.. nothing the IRS does now or in the future would surprise me.. The US tax system is one huge reason why I would never become an American citizen.. that and the spying thing.. and the police state thing.. the corrupt political system thing... I could go on..

Moonhead -> RE: More government spying proposed (5/9/2012 12:09:51 PM)

If the IRS are having to resort to tactics like that to get people to pay their income tax, the problem might be a bit more deep seated than just the Feds...

Oddly enough,.. a lot of Americans dont even know they are required to file yearly tax returns if they dont live in the US.. I tried telling one woman (an American living in Canada), that she was required to file tax returns with the IRS and she refused to believe me.. [8|] Obviously the ones with the debit/credit cards outside of the US may be (or may not be) evading tax, but the IRS had a tax holiday thing where if you tell them and pay the tax you owe, then they will go easy on you.. But with the defict the govt has, they want every dime they can get their hands on..

Moonhead -> RE: More government spying proposed (5/9/2012 1:42:40 PM)

Which is understandable, even if the methods they're using do smell of entrapment.

Where have I said Obama is doing a bad thing? My rant is about typical progressive hypocrisy, nothing more.

I've been in the "Who gives a fuck anymore, I'll just be a little more careful what I say" category for a good 7 or 8 years now.
I actually enjoy watching the nitwits waking the fuck up in MID-BITCH about 'nanny states' to find out they're getting a proctcological exam from the GREAT GRANDSON of Echelon. I got tired of being laughed at in 02 when I got laughed at for sternly warning a kid @ big blue not to talk about weed on his weekly support call with his college chum who worked at a nuke plant. Duration of career? 6 months.
Fuck em Fargle ... they are getting the exact show they bought the ticket for. And now 'festival seating' this time.

..^^THIS^^..

I stopped voting in my 20s in good part due to privacy (lack there of) issues.. at least in Canada there are (better) privacy laws.. the US, ya'll gave it up decades ago.. And yeah,.. they have been going thru everyones email all along, you think they are just looking for terrorists? It would not surprise me in the least if the IRS didnt also get notified when someone uses certain words.. The US govt uses terrorism to be able to let the IRS more easily investigate people they think arent paying all their taxes..

I guess that makes me one of the tin foil crowd too, huh??? [:D]

there is huge money in arresting people for anything they can get to stick. its not about law here its about what they can get to stick. legal procedures are designed to favor the gubafia in conjunction with the attorneys (BAR) who invented it all. The private man does not stand a snowballs chance in hell unless he has nothing to do but study law 24/7. I have shown you all the paperwork where they bond the cases and they get sent up as derivatives on wall street. the CRIS account. There is huge money in courts and attorneys and private jails in our land of the penal colony.

Actually, you're probably OK as long as you don't use words like Bomb, Assassination, Terrorist, Ricin, Anthrax................ Hang on folks, there's some guys at the door, I'll brb.

You keep getting better and better.
lol

Though I am smiling, the sad truth is we are losing more and more freedom's every day, and the light at the end of the big brother tunnel
is not pretty.

Peace

Honey, you'll have to work harder than that to wear the coveted foil.
Only the activists of the paranoia set get to wear the foil.[:D]

YOU have shown me? Dude, I was posting about the root cause behavior of the neocon gambling crowd 6 years ago on other networks dealing specifically with the issues of mortgage pools and people in the REAL WORLD of asset loss.
I like you my fuzzy friend but don't talk shit to me.

Because the alternative was to vote for obama and I didn't feel he had what it was going to take to get us out of the ratfuck the country was in 4 years ago. Lemme guess. You're one of those who doesn't bother to vote but you bitch and whine.
