my last vibe took a shit on me. I want something real powerful, preferably with a plug-in, as my battery budget currently is higher than my food budget. What is a good product to go with, keep in mind i am a poor college student :P

Hitachi, or similar cheap knockoff. Keep in mind it's a little loud, so might not be a good choice if you've got a roommate around or are living with your folks.

Starving student tip: thrift shops. Hitachi/equivalents for two or three bucks. Thoroughly clean all surfaces with rubbing alcohol before use.

Crest Spinbrush. The 2 AA batteries in it lasted me a year. Newer models' heads are replaceable, and you can put a travel toothbrush cover on it. Look for coupons in the paper, or sales at Walgreens, CVS, etc. A positive side, if found, there's no explanation needed. Unless it's kept in a drawer with other toys. (Bristle side is for masos. Add a daub of minty fresh toothpaste, or wasabi. Not that I'd have any knowledge of that...) The Hitachi Magic Wand for sure. The Eroscillator, while it doesn't really vibrate, is probably better at inducing female orgasms, but it applies its oscillating stimulation to a smaller area and doesn't have the often desired numbing effect on the genitals like the Hitachi does.

My Wahl coil. It is not as quiet as my late lamented Sunbeam/Oster model (parrot beaked cord...) but much more focused than the Hitachi.

The Wahl is increasing in popularity and a few of the other types are gettting stronger, but I havent tried them yet, too many toys, not enough time:)

The most powerful one I've bought is this dollar store egg type one I got (called "candy pop" or something). It's so cheaply made I need to be careful not to knock the batteries out of place, the wire is wonky, and it's super loud. But holy crap is it strong for having spent three dollars on it.
