And I guess motherhood should be viewed as the ultimate form of masochism. I mean, really. I don't even mean labor. I just mean the thankless nature of the underlying job. God bless all Mothers. No wait, I'm an atheist. Everyone, just love your mothers - they deserve it. [:)]

I wonder why Mother's Day has a different date in America compared to Europe.

I celebrate both:) I call my mum on both days, my sisters and aunts, etc too
march for the UK and may for the US/Canada.
Long time ago someone said the day for the UK was due to nine months later its fathers day. But thats just old wives thingy I believe, I know there is a reason for it, but im too tired to look it up.

Not a bad idea when living on the other side of the pond now. I looked it up and was surprised to find that many different societies and countries celebrate it between March and May for various reasons http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother's_Day#Dates_around_the_world but a couple go as far as December!
