Another vote for massages and dark chocolate.

We're about the same age...Dr Christiane Northrup's "Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom" has been helpful during my challenges with fibroids.

And after reading Can My Uterus Really Be Causing All These Symptoms? I've started receiving Arvigo massage and if it changes things dramatically for my next period will start a thread.

Yeah, I start with 24 hours of excrutiating pain, followed by 18 hours of not being able to leave the house because I'm flooding out. Add to that since January, I've been having it every 2 weeks. The doctor doesn't want to do anything because she thinks it will stop completely soon.

No chocolate or flowers for me. Hot bath, heating pad, wine and something soothing would be the ticket for me.

Since I started menstruating, I got my period about every 6 weeks. Last year, my cycle shortened to 3-4 weeks >_<

To make things worse, the OB Ultra was discontinued. Let's hope it comes back before my supply of the super expensive (on Amazon) European equivalents run out despite my rationing >_<

OB is sorry: http://www.obtampons.com/apology/ (do add your name to personalize)

In case you questioned it, we're really, really, really sorry that you were not able to find our products earlier this year. You've also shown us how much you love o.b.® Ultra and we're sorry we discontinued it – we stand corrected! We're working hard to bring o.b.® Ultra back to store shelves by the second half of 2012 and we'll keep you updated on our progress. In the meantime, we'd like to apologize with this video message and extend a special coupon offer. Again, we're really, really, really sorry!

Mine is recommending UAE or hysterectomy but I am holding out for menopause due to the possible side effects, which include death.

for me... clean sheets, hot shower in which my hair gets washed and I stand there and have someone else take care of me.. a heating pad... a nice cup of hot tea .. nothing a cuppa wont cure... some muscle relaxing massage... some chocolate to nibble.. a book from my fav author... or a movie Ive wanted to watch.. and something for pain relief.. perferably prescription grade ....

I envy the women who it's just another day for. I usually experience 36 hours of fairly intense cramping and become an emotional lunatic for the 24 hours before it starts. Hopefully the sperm scarecrow, anti baybee device (Mirena) that I'm getting in June will help.

Snuggles, advil, tylenol, chocolate and cups of tea help.

Oxycodone or fentanyl

It was just another day for me for almost 30 years...damn peri-menopause [>:]

MsKittyValentine -> RE: ways to help out my Miss.... (6/10/2012 8:41:16 AM)

Goodness, I feel sorry for my sub as every few years my menstruation changes in length, painfulness, whether I have headache or backache accompanying and interest or not in sex. In addition, my experience of PMS alters every few years, sometimes being mainly physical, sometimes more mental symptoms.

I have found that weight, use of IUDs, contraceptive pills, other medication has all seemed to create changes to my menstrual patters. My Mum had her menopause at 45 and so as I am at that age now myself, I eagerly await getting shot of my useless menstruation. I say useless as I never did want children and never had any, so all the pain, stress, expense, for nothing :-(
