I would say an hour is enough to discover if you like it or not

After all, if you pay for 3 hours then decided after 30 mins that is enough then you will be wasting a LOT of money

You make a very good point. She really has not asked me to prove who i am. i know more about her than she does about me. our session is not for a month because i will be traveling perhaps she plans on gathering more information as the date approaches. the thing that struck me as odd from my original post was why a 3 hour session seemed so important.

That's what I was thinking as well. She just invites him to her dungeon without meeting him first? That's odd. What if he is a crazed axe murderer? I guess she'll find that out when he kills her.

OP, have you asked her for references? You're allowed to do that, you know. Something about her isn't adding up for me. I'd ask her if she has any references that she can provide, just so you'll have on outsider's perspective on her.

I dunno, it's a different world. I had a website and an ad in DDI, men filled out the app or called for an appointment, and that was that. I didnt spend a lot of time in drawn out negotiations, there were just too many men looking to just suck up time. It wasnt that complex to set up a session.

From a SUB point of view - when Pro-Subbing there is NO WAY i would do a 3 hour session with a first time client, no way at all...

After All Your great advice i don't intend more than a 1 hour session. if things don't become too strange as the date approaches i guess i would cancel.

I was going to ask if any of the pros/former pros would negotiate for a month and if not how you conveyed this.

When I prosubbed at a dungeon there was none if this dithering - the client called Ms V and she called me. (There was more demand for Dominatrixes so they had regular hours.)

No way would we have waffled around. Make an appointment or dont, check out our maxfisch reviews, see ya for coffee before the session. The number of utter tossers who just wanted to talk about their fantasies likes we were a free phone sex line was absurd.

I was thinking the same thing as the highlighted above. Isn't that usually a sign that something is fishy on one side or the other?

Sounds like bait and switch, or maybe trying for a big advance deposit, another thing that was RARELY done. Only if we needed a bunch of stuff for a complex or extended scene.

It is not typical professional behavior for a Pro Domme to let you chat with her for a month prior to booking a session. Pros consider clients who do this to be trying to get free cyber sex and cut off this behavior.

Just wanted to give you a heads up that minimally, her willingness to engage you for so long indicates that she may have much less experience than she claims or worse case, well, I'm not sure what LadyHibiscus means by bait and switch, but you probably won't like it.

Additionally, YOU are behaving badly for taking up her time for free. Would you do this when consulting with a lawyer or a personal trainer? No - you say what you want, they say what they offer, and you either write a check or leave.

Where is your session supposed to take place?

Great point Kalikshama the last thing i want to do is be one of those subs that whines and takes up some ones valuable time. my questions thus far have only been of a professional nature but even so i could see how frequent emails could really annoy You. As for the Bait and Switch that is never a good thing.

Hibby, it sometimes does happen, done it occasionally myself in the past when I had a good gut feeling and thought the person was honest.

As for the poster, you got tons of things that you want to try, well, I would pick out a few you absolutely want to try and go with those, one hour is plenty of time for that, now if you like it, nothing is stopping you from making a 2nd appointment and trying out more, maybe longer, but the first time, you possibly will be overwhelmed anyway, so don't do too much. See it as you would see a catering service you order for a wedding or an event - before you put in the full order, you try samples of the different dishes, then you think about it and put a meal together...

Basically the pro world is rife with people who basically want free jerk off material

For example, I used to get a LOT of "Hi there I am interested in a session, tell me in detail how you would serve me, describe your outfit in detail etc" mails - my reply would always be matter of fact and to the point because I'd say 80% of the time the client basically just wanted wank fodder and had no intention of booking.
