ORIGINAL: NuevaVida ~ Fast Reply ~ I loooooove my coffee! LOVE my coffee! Peets Major Dickason, to be specific. Whole beans, ground, and yum. I drink 2-3 cups a day and I'm a happy happy camper. For those mentioning a bitter taste, I've found (in addition to what Bita said) it's the coffee itself. The Mister calls me a "coffee snob" because I won't drink cheap coffee - the flavor is just too noticeable to me and I don't like it. But Peets is just yum to me - rich, smooth, delicious, and yummy. When I was married, the (ex) husband didn't want me to drink coffee. He had all these reasons but it really was just about control. But I love my coffee. I discovered every Starbucks on my way to work and I'd change 'em up so when he called as I was driving to work (yes, he'd call even though I just left the house, as a way of seeing whether or not I had stopped for coffee), I could always answer the phone and he wouldn't know. (First Starbucks was 7 min from the house and that's when he'd call....2nd starbucks was 22 min from the house, and sometimes he'd call then, and so on). I'm not giving up my coffee! LOL The Mister has no problem with me drinking coffee. He knows I love it and it doesn't cause any issues, so he sees no reason to remove it. He doesn't drink it (rare occasion) but let me put a coffee pot in his house so I can have coffee when I'm there. I sometimes have an espresso at work (we have a cafe which serves Starbucks) in the afternoon, if I need a boost, but it's rare. A couple cups in the morning and I'm good to go. I think some people have bad reactions to decaf because of the chemical process in extracting out the caffeine. Some coffees have more organic way of doing this, which may resolve that issue. Mmmm....coffeeeeeeeee.....love my coffeeeeeee!!!! drool, drools some more this whole thread is so killing me! I gotta stop reading it but like any addiction, it just keeps calling me back. lol
