I guess it really all comes down to what type of person your sister is. My sister is the prying type as well, she's the kid who would always hunt for the Christmas presents and then fake her surprise because curiosity drives her as nuts as a nymphomaniac in a chastity belt. Every time I make mention of a guy I sent even exchanged even one message with she lights up and insists on details.
Now in my situation my family has known I'm into kink for many years because I as much told them all when I wanted to start wearing my collar all the time; but it was never really something they knew about or that was ever discussed. It was that silent "oh that.. ya..." kind of conversation killer. More recently however my sister, having long been close with me and long expressing her bafflement at what I see in the lifestyle, decided to help me out by being my moral support as I went to a local event for the first time. From there she learned a lot about the lifestyle that she'd never asked from me, and she learned that not only did she accept it - she liked it. (And has, and will, continue to attend with me.)
As has already been advised to you, see about bringing her along; let her get a feel for other people and see for herself that we're not all some creepy stalker type who hides in the shadows (some may be though....:p).
Perhaps if she knows for herself that we're just normal folk with some "strange" interests she wouldn't feel the need to pry so much and just let it be.
(Hopefully this makes sense, I lost track of what I was trying to say a couple times as I wrote and rewrote this post.)
