Perhaps all this media and website birther talk is intended to divert the public attention from something else?

Probably the Greek crisis

Sheeple can be lied to forever. There is no limit, bigger the lie the more believable. Considering the facts, it appears at the moment, President Obama was born in Kenya and he moved to Hawaii when he was about 1 week old.
The facts are:
The absence of birth certificate, falsified birth certificate, access to Hawaii records blocked, missing 1 week of immigration data from the National Archives, attacks against Arizona sheriff who investigates the matter. Perhaps there are more, but these are solid facts I am aware of. They are sufficient according to my standards to doubt the official story.
For liberal Dems the Constitution does not matter anyway. So, I am not here to initiate a new debate about the matter. Obama himself tries to explore the story and to turn it in his favor (as a victim of "non substantiated" attacks). I am disappointed (as most are) about the performance of the President, and this should be the main focus today.

Actually the fact is President Obama was born in Hawai'i.

Facts that support that fact:
2 seperate newspaper announcements. investigation has shown those papers got their birth details from the hospitalmaternity wards and no where else.
A valid state issued birth certificate.

That is far more documentation of place of birth than is available for most of our former Presidents.

Let's talk about real issues, shall we?

As soon as Obama and Biden start, let us know, will ya?

FatDomDaddy -> RE: Born in Babylonia, Moved to Arizona (5/17/2012 6:34:59 PM)

And the article and site take great pains to state, in their mind and mine, the obvious, that the President was born in Hawaii (in Oahu not the Big Island and I am writing in English) in 1961.

The point of the article is NOT about where the President was born.

You mean like a monthly jobs report that once again illustrates the incompetence of this administration to meet the challenges of the job, being bumped off the front page by a story about something Mitt Romney supposedly did in high school?

You've got it backwards, on who wants to do the diverting.

So if a birther released it doesn't matter if it is true?
Attack it find proof it isn't true simply dimiss it but do so on the booklets merits.

In the case of a birther, it's not a question of circumstantial ad hominem, but of the credibility of the source.

So yes, I'd probably dismiss it. Not my job to investigate the claims of every crackpot who comes along.

So what's the Republican plan again?

The diversion is clearly welcomed.

BamaD -> RE: Born in Babylonia, Moved to Arizona (5/17/2012 6:58:48 PM)

All I was saying was ignore it if you want to but attack the documents on thier own merit.
I suspect this was just a publicists atempt to help sell books which happened to fit the birther mantra.

Note that the "promotional booklet" was distributed within a tight circle. My suspicion is that a birther at the agency ran it off without management knowing of it, sent out three copies to fellow birthers, and then leaked it to Brietbart, who sanctimoniously published it with the disclaimer "We are not birthers, BUT..."

yeh sort of like that arizona internal FBI flyer that was never supposed to hit the public and force them to do lots of backpedalling of them targeting christians and a whole host of people who object to shit the gubafia is pulling.

put yourself in th eplace of the gubafia. Do you know how easy it is to produce any damn record you want? or make any record you want disappear? or re-write history any you want?

Look at the 13th amendment that essentially said no attorneys in office! It was added to many of the states legilative logs etc and then magically diappeared from the constitution. Of course there are still libraries long forgotten that have the originals proving the constitution was forged and the forgery protected by insiders.

you can find this info in virgina and colorado registers

At the moment, allowing President Obama to keep shooting himself in he foot by talking about gay marriage instead of jobs, seems to be working.

So I guess you missed the part where the actual literary agent who produced it, authenticated it?

Musicmystery -> RE: Born in Babylonia, Moved to Arizona (5/17/2012 7:29:31 PM)

Begs the question, doesn't it.

Again, the point of the article has ZERO to do with where the President was born and everything with how he is packaged and handled.

BamaD -> RE: Born in Babylonia, Moved to Arizona (5/17/2012 7:43:15 PM)

Yep that is what I said.

You mean you aren't sure where the President was born?

That's the problem ,the booklet has no merits, hence it is right and proper to attack the "messenger" and any putz that would post it on any forum.

FatDomDaddy -> RE: Born in Babylonia, Moved to Arizona (5/17/2012 11:29:34 PM)

What do you mean no merits? The Agent has already said it's real and that the bios were likely approved by the author.

And the column was about the media packaging and handling of the President NOT about where The President was born!

Young Obama knew he wasn't born in Kenya... but at the time it fit the narrative he wanted!!!

Seriously, if you are trying to portend that Mr. Obama had no idea this thing existed, you are being completely intellectually dishonest.

Musicmystery -> RE: Born in Babylonia, Moved to Arizona (5/17/2012 11:40:15 PM)

Just out of curiosity, what constitutes unintellectual dishonesty?

I didn't say that I said attack the peice on it's own merits not the same thing by any means. If fact I was pointing out that anything written by a publicist needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Just because I didn't demand that Romney be lynched over this doesn't make me a birther.
