ORIGINAL: ClassAct2006 Along with never having found a man with a beard attractive, I feel the same about tatoos. I think it is a class and cultural issue in the UK. However I would want to see them. I would far rather people are honest. I just read a profile of a smoker and again I could never like wtih someone who smoked and it is best to know than have your time wasted. However I agree with the original post - best to try to show yourself reasonably at your best, not your very worst, whilst being honest. Really? Must be a different UK than the one I usually live in, depends very much on the tattoo, where it is and how it's done. More a generation than class issue, for my parents and their generation tattoos were a "class" thing (only thugs and sailors, blah blah blah), but among the younger generation they really aren't such a big deal (though I sometimes question the wisdom of the people putting huge tattoos on their skin), provided they don't look like they were done in jail. You'd be surprised how many execs have discrete tattoos that they don't flash around in a board room, but that are visible in the gym, though most do not go overboard with full sleeves or tramp stamps. It's 2012....
