I had just finished changing my profile, and was thinking about old religious practices. My mind hit on a splinter of the followers of Zeus that espoused sex between older men and younger boys; not well known and not with a large following, but they did exist because someone found writings about them. This in turn made me think of the distant future, and people finding electronic fragments of CollarMe. Would they think we worshipped the god BoDSuM? Why did this entity have so many churches and chaotic splinterings (from Dom and Domme to Dominate and Domina!)? How would they (those anonymous ghosts of the future) define the culture of the past from the flotsam floating here? [:D] What does CollarMe say about society, if anything? [8D] I thought about all the lovely ways this could degenerate and saved the mods the hassle, by posting here to begin with. (You don't have to say thank you, but big warm overly affectionate hugs are always encouraged.)

I don't think we'll have to worry about it. The planet won't be around long enough for that. Plus we have so many records these days unlike the ancient world that the knowledge of everything we do and have will be at their fingertips.
