ORIGINAL: knees2you What does it mean to be Who You are in the Bdsm world? In the "BDSM World", eh? Being who I am means I am a group leader - I founded the T3WD munch group in Columbia, SC in 1999 and I have a hand in running it to this day. It means I am an educator and teacher - I have been giving educational presentations about flogging, poly relationships, incorporating faith into BDSM, rope bondage, erotic knifeplay, scene safety, etc, to T3WD and other groups in the Carolinas and Georgia. It means I am a charity worker - I have lead or participated in fundraising drives for leather families who have suffered deaths in their family, or injuries or other losses. It means I am an activist and advocate for this lifestyle - I promote and support the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom http://www.ncsfreedom.org I act as the primary contact for T3WD for the rest of the world and try to promote the very positive aspects this lifestyle has to offer. It means I am a community builder - I refer people to realtime groups in their local areas, I encourage groups and individuals to build networks. I go to other BDSM groups to support their efforts. It means I can openly be _all_ of me (something I can not do in the 'nilla world) - I can openly indulge the sadist, the play pig, and proudly proclaim I am the owner of janey. No need to sugarcoat or hide that here. I am certain that other aspects of who I am manifest in the "BDSM World" that do not manifest elsewhere in my life, but these are the things that jump into my mind that are specific to this part of my life. YIK, - Geoff
