Ok this is a really weird one for ya.

I am a male to female transgender preop. Im fulltime woman and am passable. I dont know if this is on purpose, but my Master has been asking me to not wear things that I normally associate as things that make me look feminine. It has slowly been progressing to the point of a few days ago I looked at myself in the mirror and saw me as I was...a guy. It took me by suprise how different I am expected to look now and was wondering if anyone else has run into this kind of situation and if it maybe a form of "forced masculization/feminization" that may pass.

Oh, he really threw you a curve ball, didn't he? I'll bet you didn't even see it coming.

I've known many transgendered and "gender-queer" people and have come to the conclusion that it is all about what makes them (and you) feel comfortable with themselves (yourself).

Having said that, he is probably very turned on to the fact that you are not yet an anatomical woman. OTOH, maybe it's just a mindf**ck.

How do you feel about gender reassignment surgery, and how does he feel about it?

I know one other similar situation, and it was forced-masculinization, of a sort. Control issues coupled with gender issues can be too complicated for me to parse out, so I wonder if what your answer is to iliv2serher...

I would be concerned that the Master in question may be blocking Shiva's transition for his own selfish reasons. Without knowing said Master, however, it's impossible to say for sure what's going on, but it feels less than honest to me.

Just to throw in another possibility, though it's hard to say without knowing you or your Master...
perhaps rather than trying to make you look like a man, he is just trying to get you to be a woman more naturally. If you are constantly making a big effort to appear feminine in the way you dress, wear makeup, do your hair etc, maybe he is showing you that you can still be feminine just dressed in jeans as most women do at least sometimes. Looking at yourself in the mirror you may not recognise the woman there because you are used to seeing her dressed up - perhaps Master is trying to show you there is a woman there anyway.
Of course this is all speculation, just wanted to throw in a different way of looking at it

I consider those warning signs as it sounds like your Master care more about the fact your trans than the fact your a woman.

Yes, that is certaintly another possibility. Drives me to the wall when trans people think being a woman and feminine is just stereotypes. Way more than that.

I think it may be time to speak to your master, Darlin'.

Sit down and have a conversation with him and find out why he has made the requests, share your concerns, and tell him it does seem slightly manipulative that he would do this without just telling you what is up. Maybe his intentions are very possitive, as some one mentioned (good points, truly) but from the outside looking (with what info that i have and not knowing either of you personally) i can see it DOES appear odd...

Comunication is the most important part of ANY TYPE of relationship, and in many ways, even more so in a D/s relationship - and then you throw in being trans on top of it, or being poly, or being bi, or any other number of things it only gets more and more important to be open and very very willing to talk about such issues and concerns.

So, talk to him, and i hope it all works out well for you.

To me, someone trying to make a preop, or post op trans look like their biological sex is throwing up red flags, unless it is to prove you can look feminine in different clothes. I have a submissive preop M-F and I would never think about making her look like a man.

I am going to agree here with many of what has been put forth---the pre-op trans change, is one of total emotional, physical, psychological and hormonal development---and anyone who "particapates" with you needs to understand this and make the same commitment to walk the path you have chosen---to do otherwise could result in longterm detrimental damage to you--so either He gets it, spends time with your counsellors to get it--or you make a hard decision to look elsewhere.

I agree, you need to ask him. My first thought was that it was a way to force you to see yourself as feminine without the trappings of feminity. He may not have told you upfront because he wanted you to experience your natural reaction. In other words, had he told you "I am going to make you wear gender neutral clothing so that you will experience your feminine side from within", you might not have reacted as strongly, because you knew it was only a test and soon you would be back in your dresses. Regardless of his motivation, it's probably a good test. If you can still feel like a woman while dressed in a baggy T and jeans, you are becoming more secure in your feminity.
