Mine, based on making the biggest impression and most memorable, and I still listen to the soundtracks sometimes.

The movie soundtrack sucked, but the Broadway one rocked.

And of course, the ultimate stoner movie...

She rocked!

Favorite line, upon three thugs learning she doesn't speak: "She doesn't need to talk for what I want to do to her". Five seconds later his head was on the floor.

I am 50, I don't remember being a young adult.

In all seriousness, I have never ever had favourite movies. I love movies. What I love at the moment depends on the frame of mind I am in, what sort of movie I am in the mood for.

In our collection, which hasn't been added to very much over the last year, you will find everything from much loved animated kids movies like Shrek, to fun comedies like The Birdcage, to crazy Coen brothers stuff (we have most of their work), nearly all the great mob movies, lots of historical stuff like Elizabeth, Braveheart, The Madness of King George (we have a lot of historical stuff), and a lot of westerns, old and new. John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Tombstone rocks. The Bourne trilogy. 007

Neither of us are fans of scifi, horror, romcom, bad comedy which there is just too much of, or action movies.

This may come as no surprise to anyone, but its probably one of the best reads Ive ever had, and the movie is pretty good too. Scarily enough, I do see a bit of myself in Alex... Or is it a bit of Alex in myself?

By young adult I'm assuming before high school (once I hit there my tastes expanded profoundly), so this is the typical stuff that I would enjoy (and watch repeatedly without being bored):

There is just nothing better than The Princess Bride.

"My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." Seductive, I tell you.

Galaxy of Terror (1981) was awesome (IMDB). Trapped in an alien pyramid that is designed to test you, the astronauts are faced with manifestations of their inner most fears. I loved the scene where Dameia (Taaffe O'Connell) who is afraid of bugs gets attacked by a giant slimy maggot that chews off her clothes, completely slimes her and rapes her to death. Her screams of fear change to screams of ecstasy half way through the rape. It was awesome and she is just lovely . . . even more so covered in slime. Here is that rape scene from the movie: Video link

I loved the guys who played in this cheesy movie:
Ray Walston (My Favorite Martian)
Zalman King (Red Shoe Diaries)
Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street)
Taaffe O'Connell (Caged Fury)
Sid Haig (House of 1000 Corpses - Devils Rejects)

Once I enlisted in the USAF, I dropped the "young," so for me I was using 18 and younger.

In that case, I think Alien and Blade Runner.
The Great Escape always did it for me every Xmas on television
