If it were Me, I'd gently release him and no longer session with him.

I had this happen a number of times when I was still a ProDomme and never felt comfortable encouraging the twitterpated subbie by continuing the client relationship. Unless you have private slaves, in which case he may make a devoted prize indeed, I personally would set him free. I never saw this work out well for fellow Dominas - the sub would end up requesting more and more of Her time, become somewhat obsessive and overly emotional, and it always exploded with hurt feelings on the sub's part and a parting of ways, permanently.

IMO, avoid the drama, have dinner, talk honestly, and cut him loose.

I hope you use the same morality and integrity compass you would use with a vanilla relationship, if you dont see a future that satifies both folks, then set him free otherwise this person, who, as his Domme on some level you have agreed to care for and not allow to be harmed will get his heart broken. There is no amount of money that makes that ok, yanno?

I assume this is a sub you have ONLY seen professionally?

If so, 99% of the time, either end the relationship completely, or, if you feel you're up to it, just make sure he knows that this relationship will NOT extend beyond the sessions that you have. This is a very tricky tactic to take and I don't recommend it.

However, just like there are professors who form personal relationships with students, therapists who form personal relationships with patients...there's a one in a thousand shot that the relationship can be moved into the personal life and thrive. You have to decide whether it's worth that risk.
