Jesus Christ Superstar

This one for me too. I saw the original cast in 1972 and it was one of the most awe inspiring moments of my life.

Yes, my pick, too. Yvonne Elliman singing "I don't know how to love him" was the highlight of it for me.

dc, I love the scene in the movie version where Banderas sings does a forehead/palm when he sings about tepid reaction in Italy to the Rainbow Tour: "Seems they equate Peron with Mussolini; can't think why."

The lyrics are filled with great lines. I initially saw the show in New York in high school, bought the album, and played it to the point where I had it memorized. My first year in college, the show came to DC, and a bunch of us went. I caught all sorts of quick barbs that others missed, and they kept wondering why I was laughing so much.

Quadrophenia
The Wall
War of the worlds is the only music I listen to while vaccuuming the house, It just gets me dancing around like I was 20 agin
I had to do all the early ALW stuff in school, which ruined some for me

I'm still wondering why "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" isn't there.

Sorry, that was deliberate on my part. Two reasons: one, it was not put together by musicians, it's a play. Two, leaving some key choices off the list gave people something to talk about.

It is a discussion board after all. [:D]
