Btw I never said it was a victory. You do know the difference between someone posting a news article and someone posting their own opinion... or I would hope you do by now. Never once did I claim it was a victory.

The only victory I see in this that it goes before the Supreme Court. But I am sure that has missed your notice.

I understand it is your opinion just as well as my posts are my opinions also, except for the unemployment figures, they have been revised for several months after they were released. Revised up.

It was announced today that the Supreme Court will be asked to hear a case brought before it to set aside the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals rulng. I don't have the same feeling about this as I do with Obama Care. For one, although I am a conservative I don't feel it my business to keep the marrage ceremony and all the obligations and rewards of marriage from Gays. Who am I to control their lives when it does not hurt me or mine? This is were I draw the line on such social issues, "does it adversely affect me or take someone elses rights away?"

So I hope the Supremes decide either to not hear the case or side with Gays.

So what is the Supreme Court going to do?

With this court? Who knows.

I think we do. We always did. They decide using the law and logic and wisdom. But that is another thread.

But hey, this looks to be a very bad month for Obama starting with today's unemployment figures. Oh, and the revised ones that were spun last month, by -25%. Big revision.

Unemployment figures? April 8.1, May 8.2?

Thats a big revision? U6 figures went from 14.5 in April to 14.8 in May.

Is that what you are hooking your hopes on?

Thats a far cry from the high of 17.2... ;)

By the Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics for the June 1, 2012 report: A change of over 25% from the original statistics in a single month. This has been a pattern.

The change in total nonfarm payroll employment for March was revised from +154,000 to +143,000,
and the change for April was revised from +115,000 to +77,000.

No. The birthrate among nonwhites.

No. The birthrate among Hispanic immigrants. Cute cartoon as your post however. Your posts make me laugh always.

An analysis of census and other data by the Pew Research Center also found that in the two decades since 1990, some of the changes reflected the changing composition of the population. For example, there are more women over 35 now than 20 years ago and more unmarried women in their childbearing years. And about one in four babies born in 2008 had a Hispanic mother, reflecting higher birthrates among Hispanic immigrants and their offspring.

Titled “The New Demography of American Motherhood,” the Pew analysis, which is to be released Thursday, found that the birthrate among black teenagers plummeted almost in half, from 62 for every 1,000 to 33 — below the rate among Hispanic teenagers.

The percentage of babies born to non-Hispanic white women declined to 53 percent of all births in 2008 — only slightly more than half — compared with 65 percent in 1990.

And the BLS percentages are the same as I gave you from the U6 unemployment site.

Exactly what point are you trying to make.

What's BLS & unemployment to do with DOMA?

Man, we should've had legal civil marriage between 2 consenting adults a loooong time ago.

No. You are still looking at Hispanics total, and calling them all immigrants.

How many immigrants are in the United States today? Did it change compared to the previous years?

According to the Census Bureau's 2009 American Community Survey, the US immigrant population was 38,517,234, or 12.5 percent of the total US population. The number of foreign born living in the United States increased by 1.5 percent (about 556,000 people) between 2008 and 2009.
