No Matter how many times you gotta change it to get what you want....

What's that the NeoCons are calling Bosturd?
Oh Yeah the fighting moderate... Or some equivalent bullshit.

The Country needs a man who can stay cool and hold it together when the seas get rough....

So do you really think the day the President verbally stepped on his dick about the private sector doing just fine in this economy, and we needed to worry about more government handouts to local government, and then backpedaled like Corey Booker after a trip to the woodshed, is the right timing for this particular talking point, Sternskipper?

Of course, his tossing that out there, just a few days after the slapping of the public sector unions in Wisconsin, shows he doesn't have great timing either.

Why yes, Sternskipper. The President does indeed seem to be comfortably numb to what's going on in the world of people who don't get all the holidays off, with pay.

Lemme guess "Hep me, Hep me... Stern skipper is a stalkin me"
The story is getting thinner and thinner.

I found it interesting that Romney said "I don't have lobbyist working for my campaign..." then when he was called out on that it changed to "...he isn't running my campaign..."

Now you see, we have such different ways of seeing the workings of the world, Erie. I found it far more interesting when the President of the United States smirked, while explaining that the private sector is doing fine.

I don't think you understand the meaning of that album you cited, Sternskipper. I'm not the one who needs help. [:D]

This right here shows how little credibility you have in your rant on this thread. Take for a moment and place yourself in the President's shoes. Any one of them for the last twenty years (Clinton, Bush, Obama). They have less 'time off' than most Americans do. They are at their job 24/7 (including leap year!). Not an hour goes by that something, somewhere, by someone, is up to something that could have a damaging effect on the nation, state, or individual citizen at any time. And that they are held to a high level of responsibility and accountibility, that their actions and words can effect world finanical markets for days at a time. That at any one time, their are individuals and groups that wish to do them and their families harm (more so with President Obama than the other two put together). And if they take an hour off, just to relax to shoot some hoops or be an old fashion rancher, HOARDS of people jump down their throats.

And I havent even gotten to the numerous amount of people that do stuff towards a US President externally of the White House....

If you look at pictures of each of the three most recent Presidents (Clinton, Bush, and Obama) when they entered the White House, to leaving (or current in the case of Obama), you might noticed they looked aged. Their bodies have had to perform like a 20 year old's in a 50-70 year old shell. They have a team of highly trained medical doctors that handle their physical, mental and emotional problems (cus stress takes its toll in any job); but yet, their bodies have aged 10-15 years if they didnt take the job!

Doesn't matter if the President is liberal, moderate, or conservative. Nor being Democrat, Republican, Wig, or any other political party. The real toll on their health and lives is such that I'm 'ok', if they want to take some time off and relax. Take in a NBA game, go golfing, fish with friends, or watch the lastest movie in the theaters.

Regardless, its a safe bet that President Obama, understands that not everyone gets to celebrate Evacuation Day or even the 4th of July! In fact, in years past, the US Military was usually on alert (particularly when the USSR was in operation) during the NFL Super Bowl! So take your aboslute 'crappy' attitude towards the President and shove it!

An if you actually took time out of your busy "heckle the President" schedule, you might find he was right to say what he did. Due to the large amount of goverments at both the state and federal goverment having to tighten budgets (i.e. like California), they have had to let public sector employees go. If the former public sector employees were taken out of the total unemployment percentage, you would find the President was correct in his figures. Of course, that implies your willingness to sit down, be objective and look at the data before creating a conclusion.

The President smiled because the private sector is making good, stable gains. His policies and bills have helped turn the nation from the brink of a second great depression to good growth in a period of three years. Not bad for a consitutional scholar!

Maybe you could tell us what Mitt Romney has accomplished on behalf of the nation for the last three and half years? Since we ARE comparing apples to apples, right? That you bash the Democratic President over petty things (cus your not voting for him), while writing a 'blank check' for the Republican hopeful that has done NOTHING in the same time frame (cus you will vote for him). There's a word that best explains this concept in the English language: Integrity. Mitt Romney is the opposite of this word.

I'm afraid you picked the wrong thread on the subject, to make your replies Joether. Feel free to bring it over to the thread Arturas started, that is on the topic itself, rather than a lame attempt to distract from it.

Or perhaps you will decide it was a bad move to begin with. Whatever.
