I just learned about this today. Does anyone else use them?

FYI, they use the Sprint Network and are offering a contract buyout credit.

Let's see just how progressive CREDO mobile is - T-Mobile and Verizon reps have not been able to help me purchase a low radiation phone. If CREDO is up on this, and their non-promotional rate is comparable, they've got my business.

Unfortunately, EWG's list has not been updated in some time so was not helpful when I was phone shopping earlier in the year.

Limit Your Exposure To Cell Phone Radiation

Four billion people around the globe own cell phones. As the market for new devices has grown, so have concerns about the safety of cell phone radiation.

Recent studies find significantly higher risks for brain and salivary gland tumors among people who have used cell phones for 10 years or longer. The state of the science is provocative and troubling, and much more research is essential.

We at Environmental Working Group are still using our cell phones, but we also believe that until scientists know much more about cell phone radiation, it’s smart for consumers to buy phones with the lowest emissions.

The U.S. government ought to require cell phone companies to label their products’ radiation output so that consumers can compare the numbers at the point of sale.

It doesn’t, so EWG has created this user-friendly interactive online guide to cell phone emissions, covering more than 1,000 phones currently on the market.

10 Best Phones*

Listing is based on phones currently available from major carriers.
You can also see all available phones ranked by radiation.

this would cost many many times my $58 unlimited talk / text / data (tax incl)...
PLUS I get to help finance the private exploration/exploitation of space.
I hope you at least get the low rad phone out of the deal.

Who is your carrier? I'm paying more for less with T-Mobile.

Unless you really need to burn up unlimited usage, check out Consumer Cellular.

Ooo - good prices, and they claim to have good coverage at Mom's. (Of course, T-Mobile was wrong about that >_< )

Unlimited data is not a consideration for me - I don't have a smart phone and have no plans to get one - M and my friends have them so there's no "emergency" factor - and I can't see going from my dual monitors to a tiny screen for the internet or anything else for that matter. I have a big GPS, big Kindle, and an MP3 player.

I had the whole contract thing with verizon till they pissed me off. So I went to a radio shack grebbed a 3-G Samsung off the shelf and tried Virgin Mobile ... cqoverage is great (Sprint backbone) and TRULY unlimited service for $58 and change incl tax ... and now you can get 4G, (They send you a text telling you it will slow down till you re-up after 2.5 gig ... but I stream data all month and never notice a burp.

I have 2 smart phones with 4G, one of which I have on credit with the cell company, plus an older phone--talk and text only, with T-mobile, unlimited everything and pay less than $200 a month. My son and my sister use their phones a lot, I don't use mine so much, working too much, I guess. The only reason I have a smart phone is that my son bought it when my old one broke. He wants to get my sister one next, but I don't think she'll be able figure it out.
