Best Graduation Speech Ever!

You are not special.....

This one really tells it like it is. Nothing sugar coated, yet it drives home the realities of life and all that is possible and waiting for these young graduates.

Enjoy....

I loved this so much when I saw it yesterday that I reposted it every place I go online, made my son listen to it, and emailed it to more than a few graduates I know. I am happy to know there is still at least one honest educator left on the planet.

That was a great speech. As a college professor, who has taught at least one freshmen-level course since 1984, I have seen the disastrous effect this is having on our youth. I have students these days who actually think it is inappropriate for a teacher to criticize a student's work. Teachers, in their minds, are only supposed to encourage them, and any teacher who tells them what they are doing wrong is a bad, incompetent and rude teacher. They're not all like that, but until the late 1990s I never had any that. Now they're rather common.
