My second suggestion is a joint reading assignment. Both of you read Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns one chapter at a time. Each of you highlight or underline parts you find interesting then talk about them.

The best way to have a GREAT Ds relationship is to understand one another and to play upon each other's desires while understanding each other's limits n turn offs.

Yes, this book definitely stimulated our imaginations when my (now ex) husband and I were newbs!
