Pam, by far, gets the best costumes of the female cast.  Jessica comes up as second (loved the outfit when she came to fetch Jason) and maybe as the baby vampire "matures" she'll get closer.

It might be My love of the costumes that really made Me appreciate the "hey, I'm wearing a Wal-Mart sweat suit, that should prove the dedication" line.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: True Blood (6/11/2012 9:53:09 PM)

"I have DIRT in my bra." So totally me.

The recapper on TWoP was not thrilled, but I think there's enough fans to keep it going.

LadyPact -> RE: True Blood (6/11/2012 9:54:47 PM)

Classically not Me.  I'd have dug it out.  LOL.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: True Blood (6/11/2012 9:55:55 PM)

LOL! Yeah, chances are I'd have taken my bra & walmart sweatsuit off right there!

LP I loved that line. As a matter of fact, when I saw her, Hubby and I looked at each other like wtf is she wearing?

MercTech -> RE: True Blood (6/12/2012 5:48:52 PM)

I love Charlain Harris' writing.
I love the show, True Blood.
Yet, I remain skeptical at the huge divergence from Charlain Harris' story line.

Only time, and more episodes will tell.

Now if they would just do some Anita Blake stories too... That would make for a good ass kicking adventure series.

Me too ... better to get dirt all over the Wal-Mart sweatsuit than anything else she wears [:)]

Lucylastic -> RE: True Blood (6/12/2012 6:56:47 PM)

Just watched the first ep of season five, and I was laughing watching the sweatsuit scene, thinking about all you ladies talking about it and Pams outfits, YUM, Jessica in that red teddy looked gorgeous!
Jason half naked, always makes me squirm. And Ive just started to rewatch from season one.
I thinkthe Anita Blake series would be excellent too !!!!

outhere69 -> RE: True Blood (6/13/2012 6:07:54 AM)

Stand up for manliness!! Demand full frontal nudity, like Game of Thrones!!

The guys wear a sock on set fer them scrumptalitious scenes.

TNDommeK -> RE: True Blood (6/13/2012 10:57:36 AM)

*Sighs*

Charlaine Harris (author) has made it quite clear she is happy with Alan Ball's (show creator) interpretation of the story.

I actually haven't read the books yet. I decided to check out the series a few weeks ago and I bought the first three seasons on a recommendation from a friend. I got the fourth as a gift. And I blazed through them all just two days before the Season 5 premiere.

I'm actually avoiding the books until the True Blood TV series is over. I don't want to mar my expectations. If they're really that different, then I want to treat them as two separate stories and attempt to judge them on their individual merit. =3

TNDommeK -> RE: True Blood (6/13/2012 10:02:37 PM)

One of the girls has the whole set but I haven't read them for the same reason, besides, the series is just so eye appetizing.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: True Blood (6/13/2012 10:09:37 PM)

I was adding a few of the books to my Amazon list, and judging by the reviews, Harris has fallen into the same pit as Evanovich, cranking out books too quickly that just don't hold up to scrutiny.

Iamsemisweet -> RE: True Blood (6/13/2012 10:13:42 PM)

True 'nuf about Evanovich, Lady Hib. The Plumm novels jumped the shark at about eight

Lafayette should have been dead. He's a good enough character that I understand why they kept him.

But they robbed themselves of a lot of storyline. Most of it can't easily be restored.

ShaharThorne -> RE: True Blood (6/14/2012 3:19:21 AM)

Don't tell me anything! I just got Season 4 on DVD and am waiting for a good time to view it without Mom watching.

Maybe I'll ask my brother to recorder it for me. I am having withdrawals from the 5th season already. Need some head vampire action.

TNDommeK -> RE: True Blood (6/17/2012 7:05:19 PM)

OMG did ya'll see him??? (Christopher Meloni) Jeez! Perfect actor for the job. I just want to give a very thoughtful hug to the casting person and say "thank you".

OMG ... I agree 100% [:)]

LadyHibiscus -> RE: True Blood (6/17/2012 7:46:47 PM)

Was he naked? Did he bonk Pam??

TNDommeK -> RE: True Blood (6/17/2012 9:21:41 PM)

Not yet, but it's early. *fingers crossed* Oh oh, I hear that this season will feature full frontal nudity on the men.
